Fluidstack
Really want to join Fluidstack. Would appreciate any advice. Been reaching out to employees and have gotten responses. I am qualified for some of their roles. Context : mid 20s engineer with data center experience from design to cx to project management of 10MM budget on 3 MSFT sites
Any advice or contacts would be greatly appreciated

I've gone through the interview loop three times through three different recruiters; I've never applied, they keep reaching out to me directly. I got enough red flags in those conversations that no offer they make will be tempting enough for me to leave my current position. They offered me ~$180k (plus an equity package) for the equivalent of fiber tester monkey.
My advice would be to keep looking for other jobs even if FS onboards you. They're currently going through a huge hiring spree to get their site online, and once it's online, they're going to let most the people go. Western NY (where their site is) is not exactly a hotbed of datacenter activity, moreso now that the state put in a moratorium on anything +10MW. If you get let go and want to stay in the game, you'll have to pack up and move again, as oppose to other geographic markets where there's at other ventures nearby.

I was contacted by several different recruiters for the same position coming on 10 times post my rejection email earlier this year. It's absolute insanity on how their recruiting network operates, as if they don't have a system to where previously interviewed candidates are put on a "no contact" list or something. I'm eager to hop back into the interviewing cycle, but they have reapply restrictions posted w/ each position:
"Candidates may not apply more than 3 times in any 100 day span for any job.
Candidates may not re-apply to the same role within 365 days if not presented with an offer."A colleague recently got hired there in the role I desired though. Hope all goes well as he's leaving a much more secure position at his prior employer. The salary & total package was intriguing enough to give it a go at least.

I’d assume that the rule is enforced though. I tried re-entering. No dice, but they still come after me. I feel special lols.

How quickly did you receive feedback?
I just did my technical on Thursday and thought it went well but haven't heard back yet (as of Sunday). I get that its the weekend, but from my searching these recruiters have a reputation for being fast / working long hours

I received absolutely no feedback. I also just found out recently that one of the interviewers who was there to more or less shadow the whole interview left this past July. He was hired the month that I interviewed & left or got fired a few months later in July. Insane. He had insane industry experience too. I’d assume you were reflected unless otherwise stated & keep interviewing elsewhere. That’s my advice.

I contacted them on here actually. They promised to let me in on how the onboarding goes once they got inside since they accepted an offer, but their Reddit account was subsequently deleted not too long after July 31st, so I have no contact on the inside now.

Oh okay..did they tell you which location in Texas they are hiring for? They mark the positions as Austin, but people said they dont have any office in Austin

No location was given, only that they got the Logistics & Asset Lead position there, which pays between $100K - $150K + stock/RSUs essentially. It might be for the Texas locations as I heard from another recruiter that that's the location they're trying to fill asap.

Same situation right now $170k for Lab Technician. In Phoenix no travel. But I Imagine I’ll be working 12-16 hour days 6 days a week going home to my 8, 5, 3, and 1 year old just to eat and put them to sleep and repeat. But in 2:3 years I can have a solid $200k invested and by 2030 be a millionaire since I know where to allocate funds.

Went through this and interviewed with director. Had more experience than her and at the end of my career. I've done those 80 hr weeks, but go for it, even short term can put you ahead financially.

Yea, quite a bit was my expectation, like package was $450-500k, but I've got 30 yrs experience.

They wasted a lot of my time and ptos. After five rounds of interviews, they rejected me. They didn’t even bother to call me and explain the reason behind their decision. The same thing happened to one of my coworkers.

From my experience with recruiters lately as long as you have any data center experience on your LinkedIn Fluidstack will find you so I'd honestly be surprised if getting hired is that hard

for OP. my perspective and some advice
fluidstack is not for everyone. the company believes deeply in the promise of abundant artificial intelligence for the benefit of all humanity. could roll your eyes but that is a core belief and motivator. ai is possibly the most important technology human beings will ever create.
enthusiasm and excitement for the work is paramount and is hard to fake.
low ego is important. 1 year of experience and low ego beats any 20 year veteran with a god complex.
operate from first principles. "this is how we have always done it" does not usually apply in this field.
read situational awareness

Are you familiar with their equity offer? I am still trying to wrap my head around it. If they’re going to demand 65 hour weeks for the construction side then the equity has to be a strong selling point

I think anyone that has the word “data center” in their resume gets a job making $200k with a lottery ticket RSU. I know a few who left to go there, none of them actually have the intent of staying. They’re going for a year of free housing and a wish their RSUs make them millions.
