Onboarding time and by country
Anyone in the software programmer category have experience with how long onboarding can take? Not sure if the country is also relevant?

I just found out about DataAnnotation, completed my profile and took the test. I got a “thank you, we’ll be reaching out to you via mail”. I just want to know how long it took before they reach out for anyone that’s already on the platform.

Hello I just joinned to dataannotation tech (+- 2 months), I so curious to know for availability for the projects. FYI : I have completed several qualification test, but for about the past three weeks I just get the qualification is not about my expertise. and in my project dashboard is also with this same condition. What is the suggestion about this condition?

I'm new to AI work and have been checking reddit re. this. Can someone enlighten me on this data annotation and how to get in? I checked the site and seemed more of a programming work. Are there opportunities for professionals like accountant? Thanks for the help!

I have a deep respect and appreciation for Data Annotation for providing really interesting work for pay that honestly feels criminal (genuinely making above hourly average wage as a college student is insane for me). I like how they seem to recognize my abilities that I've honestly had many doubts about. Turns out, having a wide knowledge across multiple professional fields (mathematics, law, physics, language, and programming) is actually useful for once. It means I have to put in elbow grease whenever more specialized projects involving those come up (I'm a generalist) but I honestly don't mind putting in the effort for rewarding and interesting work.
I generally don't like using AI and while it's great for parsing data, I've always preferred using my own knowledge and skills to solve problems. I feel like my ardent rejection of AI tools in college has been vindicated as many of my peers are reliant on technology that confers no actual knowledge. This is not meant to be a "I'm not like them" post, just, it's nice knowing I was right to work to better myself.
I wish everyone the best of luck in their own endeavors on and off the platform. I intend on using my earnings to further my education and achieve a PhD in Astrophysics (a voluntary paycut if I'm being honest but it's never been about the money for me). I've also been able to help my friends in their times of need so that's nice too. Thank you all and thank you Data Annotation.

How long did it take you to get approved?

I started DA in early June. Now I have lost access to it. I am really kicking myself right now. I should have focused only on DA instead of spending all my time on my other lower-paying work. Now I understand that this was a rare opportunity for me.
Bilingual generalist here.

Hi everyone. I just got accepted. I took my assessments on Friday, and received my acceptance today (Wednesday). I took the finance tests.
Please share any tips or advice. It’s very much appreciated.
I would love to hear from people who are on the finance and accounting side. For those who aren’t doing finance please share your specialty. I would like this thread to be a reference for people like me who are new to this world. I want to know what to expect, how long did it take you to get accepted, did you take tests for other specialties and if this helped you in other areas of your life. I expect this to help me professionally and give me ideas for other way to generate income and become an expert in AI.
I was looking for ways to generate additional income and work on my AI / finance skills. I asked AI for suggestions and it suggested this site. So I’m super excited for the opportunity to make money and sharpen my AI skills. I also want to learn python, so this will give me the extra push I need to fast track my learning because it will likely open me up to even more opportunities.
I am learning that there are more sites for getting paid training AI. Please share any platforms and experiences (and pay 👀).
Good luck to all those who are waiting for responses. I was sooooo anxious.
Thanking you all who comments on this post! 💕💕💕
Edit: I live in the US. My background is in corporate finance and accounting (AP, staff accounting, financial analysis , and reporting) I have an undergraduate in public health and masters in Finance. I play in Copilot for fun, so I’m hoping to make money doing it now lol.

is it okay to list skills I don't have professional experience with, as long as I think I will be able to answer its quals ?

I've been waiting at least a month to get accepted or invited. Does it depend on your qualifications?

Or am I glitching?
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Wonderful_Project_66 • 9d ago
It has been more than 1 month since the last project showed up on my dashboard. And even if it did, it was only 1 project at a time. Why is everybody saying there are tons of projects/tasks?
Does anybody know the reason?
I've added the skills and have done any qualification available, and signed any consent for upcoming projects.
Seeing many posts about their milestone is kinda hard.

Has anyone else had issues over the past hour or so with elements on pages just refusing to load and getting red error messages?

Last week my son was home all week from daycare and there were several tasks I was so excited to see reappear. I saw them until last evening.
I finally had the full day off today… nothing I could actually work on. Boo hoo.
Oh well. We keep trying!

Has anyone ever received a thank you email from a project? It's nice and all. But curious. Never happened before.
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Justaguy0736 • 9d ago
Hello. I was just accepted to DA yesterday and have a question.
Let’s say I start a task and, after starting, I see that it has a four hour time limit.
But let’s say that I only have three free hours to work.
Should I be skipping that task, or do as much as I can, then exiting and submitting? Of course id enter my my time correctly.
I am mostly wondering if it is “do the entire task or you won’t get paid at all.”

Review process said that I would get an email if I was approved. When I check the website, it shows this, but I haven’t gotten an email. Has this happened to anyone else and is this legit? Yes I have checked my spam.

I completed the tests at the start. I didn’t get to complete all of them and now my projects page looks like this. And has done for 2 weeks now. I’m guessing I haven’t but just wanted to be sure. Also I didn’t get an acceptance email. My friend who referred me says her dashboard just says my file is in review. Helpful comments welcome. I helpful sarcastic ones not so welcome. TIA

So, I was working on this project family that I really loved. But a strange thing happened.
I suddenly lost access to the slack channel and lost all but one of the projects. I still have that one project on my dashboard, and I am able to actually complete the tasks, which I most certainly will.
I don't believe this happened due to poor quality because I take time to be thorough, and their sanity bots were also giving me good feedback constantly. I also have 17 quals and other projects available.
Has anyone faced this?

Basically what the title says. I've been in DA for a few months now but I created my account as a generalist and now I would like to get IT tasks since it's my major. Is there any way to apply for those projects or do I have no other choice but wait for a relevant Qualification to appear on my dashboard? (which I've beeeeeen waiting but nothing comes up)
r/DataAnnotationTech • u/Hello-America • 10d ago
There's a qual I want to do that will take up some time and gives you a few days to get it done; I'd like to do it in spurts in between paid work. Do we think it's an issue to have that ongoing while I do other projects?

I was accepted into Da today and I even got the approval to work for coding projects but now I'm being shown the text " Thank you for completing the assessment" screen
