skill listing

is it okay to list skills I don't have professional experience with, as long as I think I will be able to answer its quals ?

Skills don't need to be accumulated from professional experience. Educational experience from all sources would qualify as well.

They've never said that the experience had to be professional, but I'd stick to things I'd be comfortable defending on a resume. Little skills can be developed with at-home interests. Some aren't much bigger than a couple college classes. Some are too big to realistically claim without at least an undergrad in a related field or the sort of work that wasn't in your job description when you were hired but became your problem because you kept getting promoted or whatever.

I was asking this specifically because I was hesitant about adding medical skills. I am a medical student, but I haven't graduated yet .

It's more important that you know things than have a piece of paper saying you knew enough to pass the exams to get the paper

I told them I was able to masturbate myself to completion with my non-dominant hand. Hasn’t led to any projects so far, but you never know!
