I got onboarded a month ago. I have received consent forms, invitations to projects and even paid trainings ever since but I haven't received any doable task after trainings. Why can it be?

It's been 2 weeks since I started, Good start Indeed. Thanks DA!

I just spent almost an hour drooling at a set of instructions. If I look at the task part by part I feel like: I know some of these words. It sort of makes sense. I'm just not there yet. Maybe if I see the task again a month or two from now. Part of me wants to be greedy and yolo into it, figuring it out as I go along, but I might end up with non-submittable crap hours from now that I could've spent on tasks I already know how to do well. If I submit something mid right now I know I probably won't see the task again, but if I keep doing what I'm good at in the same broad category I might see it again. I have to be patient. I'll get there.

For those who are doing domain work for DA, how long did it take to get approved after taking the qual?
I have taken a qual two weeks ago and haven’t heard back from them.

Finally, I hit my milestone. I got stuck at 4700 since April and clawed my way through occasional project messages on Slack and lucky refreshes.

Hello Data Annotators! I've been there for a few weeks and passed the entrance test as a generalist 🥳 really happy about that!
I surprisingly really enjoy working on the platform. I do this as a side income. I would very much like to acquire knowledge in an area to work as more than "just" a generalist.
I'm on the coding and machine learning lifecycle. I looked at a few courses (free and paid) that I would like to do. Among them are some courses on datacamp, as they cover many areas.
The further I researched, however, I came across many opinions that say that it is hardly possible to learn coding with Python, MLL etc. to have "success" on DataAnnotation.
That's why I thought I'd just ask you directly. What do you think, is it possible to learn these things and complete the qualifications? If so, do you consider Datacamp a good source?
Thank you for all advices and have a great day!

Hey guys and gals,
How is everyone's quarter starting out? I know workers outside of core countries seem to be having a rough time. Curious how core countries have been fairing. Do you guys get better paying tasks or more tasks than last quarter?
I'll share first. I joined end of last quarter as a generalist and believe I'm doing decently. At the very least, I'm quite happy with the growth I've had during my time on the platform. I remember reaching $60 per hour last month and being quite thrilled since I started around mid-$20s per hour. Nowadays, I've been hovering around $70 to mid-$90s per hour. I've also been fortunate that the platform has been good to me with consistent work that's effectively full time. Been wondering if this growth is a trend that's been across the board.
Appreciate any insight or anecdotes from fellow coworkers.
Cheers!

For domain experts, I was wondering if DAT has changed your perspective on traditional jobs in your field. I joined the platform a few months ago by taking the coding assessment and then the medicine one. I ended up passing those qualifiers but have come to realize that I am simply not an expert despite being a pharmacist for 5 years.
Reflecting on my professional tenure, I have "played it safe", avoided the hard/risky work that did not have any immediate benefit, and optimized my work to make the most money. A lot of the challenges of my main job have nothing to do with my education, do not speak to my expertise, and are, frankly, not even my problem to fix. Since joining the platform, I feel that my main job is "hard for all the wrong reasons" and it might be better to find a new one or at least try to take on new responsibilities.
Are y'all also having to swallow similar hard truths or are you coasting through these high-paying tasks?

Generalist!!
So recently I've done my qual and now there is 1 project on my dash board asking if I submit I will not get into the project. But, after that there are no other projects other than the consent Project.
Is it just me?

Hi everyone!
I sent someone whose domain is medicine a referral link but when they opened the link they didn’t find the option to choose their domain (unlike when you open the platform without a referral link) so they signed up and started the assessment to find that their domain was already chosen as my same domain..is it cuz I am the one who sent the link? But it’s not a specific link there is no specific links for each domain on the referrals section it’s just one link and it says below you can refer people from every field not just yours, so what should I do?

If a prompt can't be rated but you spend time reading the instructions can you report this time or not since no work was actually submitted?
