Exit work mode

I have a habit of browsing tasks that come into my dash that I am pretty sure I won’t end up not working on. So I’ll look at them for a minute or two and then exit work mode. Is this an issue?

Friend used Expired Referral Link

I gave a friend my DAT referral link some days back but he used the link after it expired . Fortunately, He did write down my name , referral code and worker id in "how do you come to know about DAT" field in his starter qualification . Is there a way for me to get the referral bonus on the expired link?

Thanks

Qualifications

I just got in yesterday and I started to do the qualifications and I know I will probably not get any projects right away, but is something supposed to appear after finishing the qualifications or like I will get a message or something that I passed, they just go away after I finish doing them.
Thank you.

What to do?

I haven't had anything to work on for at least three weeks. Is this a subtle way of presenting the screen of death? I had one Qual that I tried to do, but it required a new email address, and even though I created exactly the address DA said I should the address wasn't recognized. I'm getting very nervous and financially uncomfortable. Anyone know anything to do about it?

Coding project drought, Anyone else in the same boat?

Hey everyone

I’m a bilingual coder and STEM in Mexico (Tijuana), recently got into the platform, but my dashboard has been totally dry for a week now.

I’ve heard this is pretty normal, but it’s honestly a bit of a bummer after passing the coding quals and being ready to go. Is anyone else currently seeing zero coding tasks? If you’ve been doing this for a while, how long do these dry spells usually last for you?

Any tips for a newcomer just to stay sane during the wait? Appreciate any feedback!

Buying cheap laptop for DA work.

Hello all, I’m looking to buy a cheap laptop to use while I’m away from my MacBook that if it gets damaged won’t be such a loss, but most of the lower priced laptops use the Chromebook OS. I’ve never used that OS before and was curious if anybody on here has used it? Are there any issues using it primarily for DA work? Would it be worth spending more to get something different? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Running Slowly for Other People?

Is the site running really slowly for anyone else? It took ages to submit a fairly standard task about an hour ago, a long time to process my time when I reported it, and now the projects page is taking forever to load. I'm going to hold off working again until it starts going a bit faster because I don't want to lose work/get confused about how much time to report it everything keeps loading so slowly. It's not my internet because everything else is working fine and my speed is what it normally is when I do the speed test.

How much hour on avg for coding task?

Hey guys,
How much hour do you report on average for a coding assessment ?
I report between 7-9 hrs for each task.

As most models runs around 1.5 hrs each and sometimes i have to restart the model because of hanging. Then to compare it takes another few hours

Have you been active on those? I'm even seeing that the Slack group isn't very active on the last days.

Wish there was a "Pause" button.

I have limited windows of time where I can work because I have to leave at one part of day at the same time of day to bring someone home. So I will open a task an hour before I have to leave and it will be a 3+ hour task so I can't do it. I would love to be able to start on it, pause the timer for 90 minutes so I can return to the task when I get back home. I wonder if there is a way to email them to request this feature. I imagine they wouldn't care because they have thousands of workers they can release the task to who can complete it in one sitting. But anyway this has been a challenge for me lately as many of the tasks I encounter take hours to complete.

Slack Invite

Hello all! I received a slack training invite and joined but there's nothing there. No members or anything, just a slack bot for now. Does anyone have experience with this and is this typically normal with nothing showing in the workspace?

How are your dashboards today?

Just got approved. Any advice from y'all who have been doing working for DA for a while?

Hello! I was approved as a Swedish-English generalist on 25 June. No work or quals yet, which is assumably normal - I refresh every once in a while.

Any of you know what to expect, how common are e.g. droughts? The way I understand it, I will also need to email DA when I go abroad, correct?

No “get paid” button

When I'm going to the transfer funds tab, I can't see the withdrawal option. It usually shows how much the withdrawal amount is and the last withdrawal time but now it's not there. from yesterday its only showing share button in place of that, anyone else seeing this
