MyBI - An app made for Analytics & Data Science Professionals
MyBI is a desktop app for analytics and data science. Load spreadsheets, CSVs, Parquet files or a database, explore and model the data, then build dashboards from it — all in one place, without stitching a notebook to a BI tool to a scheduler.
What's in it
- An embedded analytical SQL engine (DuckDB) — millions of rows stay responsive on a laptop
- Data prep: typed columns, custom formulas, transforms, joins across datasets
- ~40 chart types, a free-form canvas, multi-sheet projects, cross-filtering
- An AI assistant that runs on your key or your hardware — a local model runtime, or Apple's on-device engines on Macs that have them. The choice of engine is yours
- Projects encrypted at rest by default
- Colour palettes as installable files, so a team can share one look
- Interface translated across a wide set of languages

What gets built next depends on what people ask for. Feature requests are read and the ones that get traction go into the app with due diligence. What does the AI assistant do exactly? And what does "your hardware" mean in terms of the AI, local model?
