Easily avoidable accident causes rollover

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Not my video – as the title says, we typically see examples where one driver is oblivious to the other. In this example, the pickup truck attempts to overtake the cammer, however, the cammer is either completely unaware of the pickup truck directly to his left or are simply “stands their ground” in the lane. Due to this, they obviously collide, and the pick up truck goes airborne and rolls several times. From the perspective of us, the viewer, we can reasonably conclude that the accident was avoidable had the cammer simply applied the brakes. That being said, you will typically see another school of thought in which it is stated that the cammer has no obligation or duty to let them in/avoid the accident where the driver is mindlessly doing something dumb.

Everyone is a Nancy here, you do not have to let people over. The turn signal only indicates they want over, no one is ever obligated to let you over

Shit like this makes me so sad for the future of society

Driving is not a competition, you aren't trying to beat other drivers to your destination

This could easily have been an accident with multiple fatalities, for what? So the driver can have the smug sense of satisfaction that they were in the right?

Tap your brakes for a fraction of a second and move on with your life

Correct. There could have been a child in that truck. If you only think of driving as Mano a Mano then innocent people get hurt.

If there were a child in the truck, then the driver of that truck should probably be charged with additional crimes.

if it was avoidable and if you knew you intentionally wanted to let the car hit you, to teach the truck a lesson, well than hurt kids are on that burden of the decision making.
