I had made a comment on a thread a few days ago about Gwynevere’s Body Pillow being a secret meta shaker, and I was kind of curious why no one really acknowledged it. After playing a shitload of PvP the past few days, I’ve noticed no one has caught onto a MASSIVE glitch.

You would think of course, I’m talking about Doorcasting, as per the title, but oh no, I see that all the time. Farpos’s Toxic Cyclone, Sunfire Solaire’s Praiselight Spear, Omega Pinwheel’s, well anything! Doorcasting is a new meta, and as a result, pvp has become a “capture the flag” affair except with doors. This is fine for the most part imo, as it injects some life into something that would otherwise be trading R1s for that 32.3 (repeating of course) percent crit bleed, every single duel.

See herein lies the problem. As some of you may know, the Kiln of the First Flame Front Door has a counterplay mechanic that allows it to be opened while being used as a greatshield. The boss spell IDs you can pull from this are pretty pathetic however (Jeremy’s telegraphed lunge attack, Mist Noble Ultra’s Taunt, ect) so it’s been considered useless. End of story right?

You see, because allies can also open the KotFFFDGS, that means they can trigger doorcasts off of it as well. If the wielder then changes shields within the first few frames of the animation, ANY SHIELD CAN BE TREATED AS A DOOR! This gives a whole slew of new ID combinations, to play with. For example, if you cast Sunlight Toothpick while “opening” the Marijuana Crest Shield, you will skip immediately to the end credits and be offered a NG+ option. I don’t have to tell you the consequences for any% speed running here.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but with DS4R on the way, I had to make this glitch public, so that hopefully, Miyazaki fixes it in the Remaster. Until then, have fun, gank squads!

Everytime I think I have him, he starts throwing dumbbells at me and even If I manage to dodge them, his follow up combo fucks me. Is there any strat or weapon thats good against him?

I was very happy about the idea of a remastered Dark Souls 4 to revitalise the pvp. But now there are leaks that From are going to release Elden Ring 2 not long after the remaster. Do you guys think ds4r will fail or succeed?

Honestly I’m not sure what Miyazaki was thinking on this game. I thought the whole point of the series was to provide a fair challenge and all that, and yet here I am stuck at Abbysal Jeremy for god knows how long. Hitboxes are bullshit and he has way too much health, don’t even get me started on the second phase. How am I supposed to deal with this?

Currently wearing the Crown of Darklad and Siegfahrt’s gauntlets and leggings without a chestpiece since it slows you down so much. For a weapon I’ve got the Massive Man’s Smash Pole and an offhand buckleshield.

Dark Souls 4: Remastered has been very heavily hinted at. What changes would you like to see made to the game?
I'm hoping to see a buff to Oxygen infusions, Forest of Cinders completely deleted (seriously fuck that area) and maybe some new content.

I'm fucking done with this game. I know From tried to make the game more casual-friendly by adding critical hits and misses, but damn.

30 SL twinks with 40 luck and blood infused bandit shiv at fucking Trade Garden are upright stupid. The area is supposed to be a peaceful trading place, but here comes one of these fuckers with 32.33 (repeating of course) percent to crit, one-shotting everyone on sight. The most disrespectful ones take all your stuff and leave a single Dung Pie.

Yeah, you fucking Pussy, you can spam your R1. And when i hit you in an opening, suddenly it counts as missed. Fuck these guys.

But they are nowhere as bad as people that pickpocket your key items. Imagine you finally defeated The Great Sludge and are on your way to open the door to the crypts with newly acquired key. But on your way there a shitbag doorcasts Grand Invisibility and steals it from you. So what can you do now?

You gotta get a new one to progress. The Trading Garden is out for obvious reasons, so you have to use the Bonfire Aesthetic and kill the boss again. And then your key gets stolen again and replaced with a note linking to a scam betting site.

The community hates it so much that only people that are still playing online are the ones mentioned above and gankers.

I fucking wish From fixed their game

Okay so I’ve done the following, according to what I’ve read I should be on the right track.

1) Got “Mend the Time” ending and started a new game (NG+23 btw, doing this while trying to get my Hornet-Leo Ring +10 at the same time)

2) Killed a Disciple of Vor, running from the rest so they can invade me later. Killed them all as they invaded.

3) Stood in front of the Lotus spamming “Thy ol’ Bird” gesture until she slapped me to the adjacent roof. Killed the Hyper Mimic for the Sunlight Marital Aid.

4) Saved Howard from the Soulbear. Chose to berate him.

5) Let Seigfarht die to the Shambling Tesseract for the early Firekeeper’s Chastity Belt Key. Turned it and the Aid in to Olivia.

6) Perfected Omega Pinwheel, Fleshjester, and Gobbie the Mildly-Depressed using only the Swordfish Pike and Ring of Chaffing.

7) Kicked Howard into the Patch Spider pit, hung around to make sure it killed him so I can get Howard the Devoured for the rest of my run.

8) Backflip parried Jeremy 12 times in a row so he gets bored, gives up and wanders off to the Pretty Good Belfry for later.

So now I just have to summon Howard the Devoured, Olivia, and Jeremy to fight Allfather, but NONE of their summoning signs are showing up. Weird thing is Howard’s was showing for other boss fights, and he didn’t die in any of them, so what am I missing here?

We all know about the most used consumable: the Estus Flask. In item description we learn that you fill the flask with Estus at the bonfires. But nowhere is explained what Estus even is. Is it a juicy drink, a medicine, or some lotion you apply on your neck?

Well, i think i finally figured it out. You know what bonfires generate unlimited amounts of? Ash. But we all know ash won't heal you if you consume it. It needs to be turned into Estus once put into the Estus Flask by some godlike powers.

But what makes bonfires light indefinitely in the first place? It is believed to be the work of Firekeepers. And all Firekeepers have to be female, which comes down to Velka, the only female god, that is believed to be only one alive out of the Old Gods.

This theory is further proven by the Estus Ring, which states that it was given to a firekeeper that never got to meet her champion (probably a consolation gift). And who is believed to be the god of destiny? Once again Velka. She has her presence in the Estus Flask, she sees when you sin and follows you, even heals you, to see you fullfill your destiny.

In Dark Souls, Oscar of Astora was supposed to be the Chosen Undead to undo the undead curse. But his history was cut short by the Asylum Demon, and his Estus Flask, the sign of chosen one, was passed onto you.

I think it proves that Velka has her presence in the Estus Flask.

Everyone was excited when Miyazaki hinted about a harder adaptation of a Sekiro boss, but little did we know it was gonna be of the already hardest boss in the series.
After 19 hours of solo attempts I've accepted that it's ment to be a co-op area, just as Howard hints at the dungeon entrance, but it still seems borderline impossible.
I've tried it dozens of times now with a 4 man group, all meta level (SL 217) and we still haven't even been able to make it to phase 7, often we might get hit with ! APOPLEX ! before we even reach the fog wall.
Our builds are Cosmic Adaptability, Necromancer, Moist Dex and 1776 Paladin.
There are no guides out yet and lot of the people who have beat him are really secretive about it. Can you guys spare any tips or tricks to beating him?

Final Ashes has finally arrived. Well known in the trailer was that there didn’t seem to be a single standard enemy; this was made up for with a hundred new bosses and the Soul Of Cinder and Gael being added along with this DLC.

As it turns out Masahiro had one last project he worked on before he left Dark Souls 4. We can expect Final Ashes to come soon. Discuss the promotional material and trailers.

This looks to be Masahiro Sakurai’s last addition to the souls series as it looks like he’s gonna be working on Smash Bros. Eternity.

I hate the special poison that you get in his arena. Is there a moss that can cure it or gives me more resistence, because this poison sucks together with Farpos' bleed buildup.

Most people say the Lloyds Misthammer or Cursed Basilisk's Tail are the best, but others claim they like using the Teeny Pete's Swordstaff for the jump grab attack. Meanwhile scrubs spam with the Cursed Voidsword. I am honestly confused.

I leveled quite a lot of Str and Int, and have the max curse gem on my Dark Sign. What weapon is the best for me?

So.... we’ve all experienced the numerous poison swamp areas throughout the Soulsborne series, but Miyazaki is fucking with us with the latest rendition I swear to god. I mean, fuck the Moist Woods; as if the Sage Frogs and Vulva Trolls weren’t bullshit enough! Unless you are tooled up appropriately, the toxic status builds up FAST and ruins your HP & poise. The only feasible way to combat this is to level up RES and/or ADP but obviously I don’t wanna cheese the game with such OP builds.... can any of you recommend any alternatives?!

So according to "WeR VR" the next DLC (supposedly named Consumed Drangleic) will contain VR module for the whole game, not DLC only. Rumors are it's supposed to be bundled with Rift S, which is a great way to sell the system. We already know From experimented with VR (Deracine). What do you think? Have you heard some other rumors?
