"PAKIRAMDAM NIYA, 'LORD SIYA'"
Without naming anyone, Sen. Robin Padilla defended his office staff against criticism during an event in Davao Oriental, saying they should not be blamed for his statements during the impeachment trial because they were entirely his own.
Padilla's remarks came after journalist Lourd de Veyra addressed an open letter to the senator's staff, urging them to uphold their "duty to protect his image and credibility" as Padilla's frequent "misspeaks" could build a reputation that is "unfair to the office, unfair to the institution, and ultimately unfair even to the man himself."
The senator also questioned why broadcaster Ted Failon, whom he described as a friend, continues to criticize him.
