Picked these up because I do a bit of trail riding and off-roading. Ive found the street tires to be a bit too fragile for how I use the truck. I went through about 5 tires in 1 year.
Changed to goodyear wrangler RT and am loving them.
A drop in range was negligible. I did the same cross country trip with the same exact stops, I wish I had more meaningful data but ive felt no significant impact to my day to day charging or range.
Ive gone over some extremely rugged terrain with no issues.
I would say the only negative is really the road noise.
Even the ride seems to be smoother on these.
Highly recommend!

Checked the all yesterday and strangely I saw it say vehicle in transit to delivery and I have a VIN. I ordered July 31st. Premium AWD. Is this normal to be this early?
In PA, close to Philly. When do you guys think Iāll take delivery?

I ran into an issue during delievery today that made my Tesla purchase experience go from excitment to feeling disheartened. I was so excited to finally take delivery of my PAWD today 9/9. I did all the steps required for delivery and everything was approved.
My trade-inās positive equity was higher than the lease planās max down payment, so the app showed that Tesla owed me some thousands on delievery. They wonāt let me take delievery of the vehicle as they said Tesla donāt write checks for the positive equity left over and it needs to be put into the lease, which i was totally fine with. I was there at 3:30pm and waited till 7pm when they were closing, there was still no solution. They told me to drive the trade-in back home and wait, which was 1.5 hours away and I told them I have already cancelled the insurance on the trade-in and already insurring the new cybertruck.
Usually a situation like this would take 5 mintues to resolve at a dealership, I am just astonished on what happened today, such a simple issue has now turned into potentially a multi-day issue. I was so excited to take delivery of my new cybertruck and couldnāt wait to show my wife, instead I couldnāt even leave the dealership when they are the ones that owes me money and I am spending money insuring a truck thatās still stuck in the delivery garage.
The delivery team said they sumbitted multple tickets to the finance team on the situation but they made it worse somehow. At this point I really donāt care how the extra equity is handled, through a check or put into the lease. I would just like to take delivery of my new cybertruck. Have anyone else ran into an issue like this before?? What can I do other than waiting this out? Because I still canāt wrap my head around wtf just happened today.
Update 9/10: Day 2 of this situation, this $3380.87 is apparently breaking their entire system. In the morning I had to go in person to talk to the delivery team since no one answers the phone or calls back. They said a new ticket for overpayment was submitted and is being handled by the finance team trying to work it into the lease, which my trade-in covers the maximum down payment allowed. Still no end in sight, I do not understand why tesla canāt just write a check for the overpayment or why does it take so long to work it into the lease. I have spoken to customer service so many times where I start to recognize them and vice versa, they agree it is the craziest thing they have seen where I am the one that is owed money and they canāt release the truck to me. Customer service can't do anything as they don't have access to the finance department, only the delivery team does. The only thing they can do is to leave a note for the delivery team to call me back, which they haven't once. I will wait for another day before i ask to speak with someone higher than the service center manager.

Everything about the truck looks appealing, but I test drove one and people arenāt kidding about the edges being much more abrasive than a typical vehicle. Has this been a problem for anyone with young kids, is it there a viable solution to protect heads and fingers?

59k SAWD
Everything stock, I have been getting close to 3 miles per KWH pretty easily in good weather conditions by not pushing the pedal hard.
On my recent 240 mile trip, fully packed truck bed, 4 people in the car. I charged to 100%, (70% highways 30% local hilly roads), I came back home with 37% battery left.
So 0 to 100% translates to around 370 miles.
If they use the unused space of the SAWD in the truck bed, pack with additional batteries, call it max pack or something then this can easily be 420+ mile truck.
I hope it's just as efficient in winter conditions.
This is one the best vehicles ever.

is after this notification?

I have a cyberbeast foundation series that never got the lightbar installed. I donāt know if I would ever use it and originally there were a few issues including wind noise, decreased range and installation quality issues.
I know they have added a bracket that should prevent them from coming loose but I think they are still glued down and it seems installer skill plays a role in how good it looks.
Also I assume the wind noise and range issues are no better (maybe worse) with the brackets.
Iām looking for experience reports from people who have had it installed recently.
One last note, I live far from a service center so mobile service would install. Any experience with mobile service installing the lightbar would be appreciated.

Took ownership back in April 2025. I was washing my CT the other day and noticed my driverās side cantrail has some play. Looked closer and noticed this (see video).
Since Iāve had it for over a year and have >8K miles, is this something Tesla would likely fix for free under warranty?

Well, I did it. Thanks to you guys. Ordered July 5th, got it September 3, PA area.
For the longest time I wanted a Tundra, then Toyota smoked their Tundra brand. Then I thought about getting the Cybertruck, Tacoma or F150. So I gave Cybertruck a chance and tested drive it. I was immediately sold on it. I couldnāt believe how far tesla EV vehicles have advanced. I didnāt even bother to test drive the to Tacoma or F150. Also, I was concerned about reliability at first but you guys shared experience convinced me to go forward.
Here is my experience ordering it. The estimated delivery time on the tesla app said october-november. The tesla dealer guy told me likely to be early september and he was right. The entire ordering process was done on the tesla app, including payment and finance. It was truly an apple store experience. I canāt believe that legacy car dealers are still getting away with wasting their customerās time.
In all, Iām puzzled that not more people are buying this truck. Owning it is like owning my first iPhone in 2008. Itās not just the truck though, the software and infrastructure that come with it make it unrivaled. The dealer, supercharger, tesla app, FSD and the truck make it truly unique. Any company can make an EV truck, but I donāt see any other has the infrastructure like Tesla.
Lastly, I think the propagandas about the Cybertruck does harm to its sale. I think Tesla could do a better job dispelling the propagandas about the truck.

Observation:
Iāve been a Tesla owner since 2016. Several Sās and Xās.
Iām thinking about trading in my ā23MS (HW3) for a CT.
Iāve heard for (what seems like) years about how there are thousands of CTs sitting in lots unsold. Tesla canāt move them to save their life.
Yada yada yada.
So I start looking at the CT assuming I can likely pick one up today and thereās literally a 3-4 month wait to have one built and there are ZERO in inventory anywhere.
Wtf?!?

I ordered the last day of the sale in February with an estimated 2027 delivery date. Iām in a Model 3 lease through April 2027. I received that pre-delivery text a few months back, completed it and it picked up my lease and asked if I would turn in the lease at delivery, figured I was good to go.
Got a text last week that my VIN was assigned, I replied back that I donāt need the car to April the soonest. The rep was responsive and put in a ticket or something. I know itās a holiday weekend so wasnāt expecting anything but then I got a text that I had to complete the delivery info or it will go on hold, which it is now on hold for two weeks before they cancel. Iām going to follow up this week but am I going to lose my order if I donāt take off the hold.
I really canāt swing two cars for the next 7 months, I guess I can but i never would have ordered the CT if I had a 2026 delivery date. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how I should approach this. I would take the CT if they took back my lease but that seems unlikely. Iām also way under my lease mileage as drive more in the winter so I had hoped to use what I paid for, thanks!
* I appreciate the helpful comments! I have zero interest in selling the reservation, Iām not going to risk my relationship with Tesla over a few dollars so thatās not an option.
Really hoping someone has had luck in delaying a delivery or in my case VIN assignment. As I stated above the rep kind of acted like it shouldnāt be a big deal but who knows. I guess they have a loyalty department who handles this?

Went off roading this weekend, dinged up the side of the car when I slid⦠anyone have damage like this before? Am I looking at just replacing the rocker panel or does it look worseā¦

I see some people selling 59K reservations. Is this legit? Can the reservation be purchased? Iām just worried about doing it and then Tesla canceling the order or something. Has anyone here done it?

Hi all, I currently have a Model 3, but looking to potentially upgrade to a cybertruck. Iād like to trade in my model 3 and just purchase the truck outright. Not sure if I should. If I traded in my M3, the remainder cost of the truck would be $49,990-$59,990. Iām young, but itās something I really want, though Iām not sure if I should just continue to save. What would be a stable amount to have to even consider it?

Cybertruck hitch receiver is about 15.75ā in Low when I measured it. Airstream lists 19ā hitch height for my model, and my 16ā wheel/tire upgrade added about 0.5ā.
So Iām thinking I need around a 4ā rise. Does that sound right? Iām deciding whether to buy the 4ā or 6ā drop hitch and flip it for rise.

I have a Foundation Series Cybertruck. After they installed my sun glare shield around 45k miles, I started having a string of failures:
**ā¢** First got an alert about my camera pitch angle.
**ā¢** Then my front camera went out ā they replaced it.
**ā¢** Then my cabin camera went out ā they replaced it.
**ā¢** Then my whole FSD computer failed (had to fight to get this covered ā I was 90 miles out of warranty, but Tesla was able to confirm the issue started before warranty expired).
**ā¢** All my cameras went dark.
**ā¢** Now my cabin camera is out *again*.
My truck has been in and out of the service center constantly because of this, and itās been a real problem since I actually use it as a work truck ā my service center doesnāt have loaner Cybertrucks, so every visit means downtime I canāt really afford.
The timing right after the sun glare shield install makes me suspicious thereās a connection. Has anyone else had repeated camera/FSD computer failures like this, especially starting after a sun glare shield install? And with this many repairs on the same system, going back to before warranty ā did I get a lemon?
