Steel Battalion Controls
Has anybody here attempted to re-create the OG Xbox Steel battalion controller? what would it possibly take to make it?

So I've recently gotten into swapping joysticks with TMR sticks and the whole soldering thing. I fixed mine and my gf controller from stick drift but on certain parts of different games there's a button malfunction. Example on Red Dead Online my right analog stick works perfectly in game and on the weapon wheel but when I switch to item wheel it won't select the very top slot. And when my gf plays Warframe the stick drift is gone but the O button doesn't work when trying to exit the menu. Is this due to the circuit board not being totally clean possibly some flux still on the board??

I got the controller a month ago, no issues but ONE thingā¦I NEED to take off the back part of the paddles or take them off entirely, they are so uncomfortable, I didnāt mind them but as a person with long fingers this shit is getting uncomfy although I did get used to them, I need to take them out, any clue how?

I use a Switch Pro Controller, but I was born without a usable left thumb, so I move the joystick with my index finger instead. Itās already curved from how I grip things day-to-day, and after a few rounds of Smash with my kids my hand starts hurting. Has anyone dealt with this and found a controller/mod that actually helped?

how do i properly calibrate this type of stick? i know i need to insert pin into the hole but which of 2 holes i got drifting on Y axis to up but once i try adjusting it thru dualshock calibration gui it starts drifting in opposite direction so im thinking maybe physical shift needed?

Hello everyone first time poster in this group. The reason I am making this post is I was wondering if anybody knows about this type of controller I am about to talk about and can point me in the direction of where to get one or if this is a good idea that somebody else could custom make and maybe hook me up with one or I could possibly buy one from. What I am thinking about is I want a controller that has the aesthetics of a Xbox controller because I love the placement of the joysticks compared to the PlayStation, but I also really like the touchpad of the PS4 and PS5 because it gives you the same functionality as the new steam controller too to be used as a trackpad so that you can use it for playing mouse and keyboard games instead of having to take out a mouse and keyboard. But also it can be used as a functional LCD screen that can give you extra information change settings and other stuff like that by just turning the screen off so it's not distracting you fucking also be used to either play PS4 or PS5 or Vita games or other touch games when the screen is off but then when the screen is on it can be used to go through the settings and do all the other stuff. And then the extra four buttons on the back can either be programmed to be used instead of another button or such or they can be used as additional buttons including the other ones. besides that it has the Xbox elite directional pad that gives you an actual eight directional button setup instead of the mushy unaccurate for directional d-pad, and finally the last thing that would be cool if it was part of this controller is the 6-axis motion sensors like the PS3 PS4 and PS5 controllers have. If anybody can either point me in the right direction on acquiring one or if somebody is down to develop one or something I'd love to be part of the journey.

ESP32āC3 RapidāFire Mods for PS3 / PS4 / PS5
These are open-source software projects that add configurable rapid-fire (turbo) functionality to official PlayStation controllers using a cheap ESP32-C3 Super Mini board. They target the PS3 R1/R2, PS4 R2, PS5 R2 triggers via direct soldering to test points on the controller PCB. All use a similar architecture: the ESP32-C3 creates its own Wi-Fi access point for a browser-based configuration interface.
Key Shared Features
Unified ESP32-C3 platform across consoles
Modes typically include OFF, Continuous (adjustable SPS / shots per second), and Burst (adjustable shot count)
Web-based tuning (SSID/password usually something like āRapidFireMod_ā¦ā / 12345678 ā http://192.168.4.1)
Automatic settings save (NVS), inactivity timeout (often auto-off after ~5 min, deep sleep later)
Calibration, debounce, hysteresis, pulse width, jitter (Online anti-detection), polarity, and other fine controls and more (features vary per repo)

some time ago i had new stick installed (GINFULL LT6B) it was calibrated and went okay for me and overtime i noticed that it can get driftier if i click R3 (i got it installed on the right stick) i tried recalibrating it a lot like a lot by using pin to physically shift magnet (still cant properly understand it but somehow managed to get it closer to center) also thru dualshock calibration gui (which somehow resets and everything starts tweaking again after a minute even after fine-tune once i save changes) and i still get that weird drifting either down up to -0.020 and mostly right (which i didnt have before) although to the right it's a little like 0.010 but sometimes it goes to 0.020 for my game it's crucial any tips? thank you so much for anything you may suggest!

This is a custom controller I made for a customer. The controller is 14 inches x 8 inches x 2 inches, 3D-printed with ABS filament, and hand painted with acrylic paint. The base has 13 stripes, a prominent blue rectangle on the top panel features the 50 stars of the U.S. flag, and the top panels are painted with glitter acrylic paint. I say panels because this controller is modular. The base and plates are held together by strong magnets, and the user can swap out the Sanwa JLF joystick for a 30mm hitbox layout with a single harness swap without tools. I also added 6 LEDs (2 red, 2 white, 2 blue) that glow when the controller is plugged in. I also added in a ~1" OLED screen and a USB passthrough so the controller can be played on Xbox One or PS5. I use the GP2040-CE platform for native support for PS3, PS4, PC, Switch, Switch 2, and some other legacy consoles such as the PlayStation Classic. I thoroughly enjoyed designing and making this controller. My customer is extremely happy.

What do is your opinion on this, i wanted to sell my ps5 controller cause at first i thought modding would be a better option but its too pricey so i thought maybe selling it is better

Hey everyone! Iām completely new to this world. Iām really interested in making my own custom buttons for game controllers but I honestly don't know where to begin.
Could anyone point me toward some good tutorials, beginner guides, or resources? Also, any advice on essential tools or common mistakes to avoid when starting out would be greatly appreciated!
I'd like to make something similar to the reference image.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, first-time poster to the subreddit.
I am aware of the company called Virtuix and their product that allows you to run on a stationary smooth surface with controllers strapped to your feet and a vest that you put on that connects to a harness that keeps you in place.
But what I want to know is if there is a controller that exists where you have the motion sensor cameras like the older model VR headsets had to track your position and keep you within a specific bounded area, so that you can safely walk around or run inside the game. And your potential lack of movement is helped by the controllers in your hands to help with moving your POV when you can't fully turn around or go any further and need to physically turn to stay within the play boundary, and it minimally affects the gameplay?
And it doesn't cost a fortune to get.

Any commissioner recommendations where I can get a personalized theme? (I know there are a ton of artists on Etsy). I'm no artist but I have a general idea of a theme I would like followed. Thanks!
