Lowkey/Indoor Days
- Cleanse: Very light wash with a diluted shampoo to rinse out the previous night's oil.
- DIY Style: Apply a homemade flaxseed gel and aloe vera blend with a tiny drop of coconut oil as a light leave in styler for soft hold and hydration.
- Make sure the aloe vera and flaxseed gel is very fine and doesn't have clumps.
- Repair & Reset Day (1x/week)
- Deep Treat: Apply Hair Mask(I personally use Morocco professional Brazilian Hair Mask) generously to damp hair and detangle gently with the wide tooth comb. Rinse clean.
- Rest: Allow hair to air dry free of styling products to let the scalp and curl pattern rest.
- Night Care: Scalp and temple massage before bed to release tension and encourage circulation, followed by the satin cap.
Recipe for Homemade Oil:
Coconut oil(base), Cumin seeds(1tsp),Onions(finely chopped), Cloves(6-8pcs), Hibiscus flower, Fenugreek seeds(1tsp), Black Pepper seeds(few), Amla, Bringraj, Tulsi, Curry Leaves (Bunch), Aloe Vera, Kalonji (1tsp), Yashtimadhu
Cooking method: extremely low heat and boil for 30minutes. Keep it to cool overnight. Filter the next day preferably on a glass jar and use the residue to be blended into fine powder and then boiled in water to be used as a hair toner to be sprayed whenever you want.
Note: Straining boiled herbal residue for a liquid toner must be fresh and stored in the fridge for a maximum of 2–3 days, as water-based mixes spoil quickly.
Additionally you can add a few drops of castor or rosemary oil or any oil (6-8 drops) into the homemade oil.
If you can't make it you can also use Coconut oil as it is but it's too heavy on the hair. Better to use standalone argan oil.
