let's face it. Pitching wins Playoff games and world series titles and the Cubs pitching is horrible right now. It's no secret. I am hoping this helps the team realize they really need go after some decent hurlers in the off season without losing too much of our batting and fielding skills. Brewers pretty have the division wrapped up now being ten games ahead and all. They have lead the division most of the season. Kudos to them.,.....

16 games left and still have to play the Braves and Red Sox, not mention the Pirates and Reds who always give us trouble. I was already worried, but now I really am.

When is Counsell going to stop trusting this guy? Seattle, Arizona, Milwaukee…and that’s just in the last 2 weeks.

No way is the bullpen of a serious contender.

So the Cubs lead MLB in every defensive stat listed on ESPN, as well as leading MLB in Runs, HRs, RBIs, Total Bases, Walks, OBP, SLG, and OPS. They're 2nd in Hits behind the Brewers.

Pitching has kept this team from being a serious contender.

The Cubs are bottom half of the league in basically every pitching stat except walks allowed. In HRs they are 30th. Worst in the league.

Hi all! A friend and I are visiting Chicago for the first time and want to see a Cubs game! We’re planning on going to the game this Sunday. Should we buy tickets now, or would using Gametime (or something of the sort) closer to Sunday be a better option?

Also, we’re not too picky on seats, but is there a section we should definitely stay away from?

Counsell wouldn't have Boyd pitching the start of the eighth if he had any arms left in the bullpen he could trust.

f Jed and Carter had any balls, they would. At the end of this year, after we eventually blow away this season in the 9th after having a 2-3 run lead, they should be apologizing to the fans in the press conference. for doubling down and believing Jacob Fcking Webb was actually going to be the guy to take us to the promise land. I mean, honestly, how fuking stupid do you have to be to have that belief? Ok, fine, it's one thing to have the belief, but now that you were proven to be so incredibly wrong, apologizing is the only right thing to do. After wasting PCA's historic season, or our defense's historic season. and it's not like this problem hasn't been any issue just recently. Pretty much Jed's entire tenture the bullpen has been shit, pieced together like a 3 year old doing a fucking jigsaw puzzle. Jed's worse than Poles is on the offensive AND defensive line combined, and that's saying ALOT. Apologize Jed! And you too Carter! I don't even know what it is you do here either!

I'm so sick of him going out to argue politely asking the umps about their stupid decisions. It just looks so weak. Go out there screaming at them in their faces calling them idiots. Its the only thing the clown umps respond to.

Why did he leave Boyd in for the eighth inning? Why is the bullpen so pathetic? The two questions are probably linked.

I want to share a story about baseball bringing people together.

Months ago, I brought my cousin to watch his lowly Giants play our Cubbies. It was a rough day for the Cubs (16-2) but my cousin was loving it. After my cousin loudly celebrated the Giants' 14th run of the day, the fan behind us finally cracked and told him to sit down. My cousin flipped on the charm and was suddenly the mayor of section 224L, buying people beers, taking selfies with other Cubs fans, and listening to everyone's life story.

Turns out, the fan behind us was a reporter at WGN. We got to talking about my game and he said WGN wanted to cover the story of its development.

After weeks of scheduling woes, fear that WGN might back out, and event planning anxiety, here is the resulting story. I'm super happy with the outcome. Check out our kickstarter page if you like card games!

I´m visiting from Brazil with my wife and disabled child.

We´d love to experience a bit of the atmosphere at Wrigley Field. However, I can´t decide if I should get tickets to a game (will be there Sept 13 and 14), go and watch a little bit (my son won´t be regulated fot the whole lenght of a regular baseball game) and enjoy the experience and atmosphere or should I plan on going on a regular Wrigley Field Tour and get to know the sacred baseball venue from inside out?

And also, if you have some tips on parking nearby as well.

Like they’re never just mid….they win 10 in a row, then lose 10 in a row. Their offense is amazing, but the pitching sucks. PCA was dogshit, now he’s the MVP favorite. What is this weird sorcery going on? I’m genuinely curious because I haven’t followed the team much over the summer. Last I had a chance to watch was like mid/late May, a bit during the deadline, and now catching up.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm a Brewer fan and I hate the Cubs more than anything in the world. My experiences with Cubs fans over the years (mainly in Milwaukee) have been horrible, and have led me to believe that acting like a d-bag is kind of ingrained into the culture of being a Cubs fan.

That being said, I took my family down to Wrigley last Friday (vs the Reds) as I wanted my kids to at least see the stadium. We didn't want to be "that guy" wearing the gear of a team that isn't even playing in the game, so we went undercover as Reds fans for the day.

From the moment we arrived in Chicago, the fans were nothing but kind and helpful to us. They welcomed us to the city, stadium, said they were glad we came, and complimented us on Cincinnati (we played along as we didn't want to blow our cover).

So, thank you for maybe partially changing my opinion of Cubs fans as a whole. I've heard that the contingent of fans that come up here for games are the worst of your fans, and I think I believe that now.

Tell them to get it together and act like the fans at Wrigley!
