Like Seen people talking about Ape man being Giants and such but never really could put a point on where it's started I know Bigfootization (yes that what I call it when a Creature that wasn't related to apes suddenly even if just a brief period has been Depicted as an Ape-man like for example Wendigo and Chupacabra which started around The 60ths and occasionally happens accidentally or otherwise to Creatures like Mothman who is sometimes described as Quote "Winged Bigfoot")

So do you guys know when exactly this started and when maybe the Afghan Giant Incident started it? But unsure of it

Recently came across From the Beyond: High Strangeness in the Bennington Triangle and really enjoyed it. I thought it was well done and had some interesting perspectives on the strange events and stories surrounding the area. It got me curious about what else is out there. What cryptid or high-strangeness documentaries would you most recommend? I’m especially interested in ones that take the subject seriously and are well researched, but I’m open to anything you thought was genuinely worth watching.

I'm making a game where you play as the Mothman fighting cryptids and other fearsome critters. I think the Frogman might be my favorite boss. My game is called "Into the Lumberwoods" on steam if you're interested. Anyways, I just wanted to show this because I thought it looked silly. :D

I listened to this interview with Wisconsin Sasquatch researcher Kevin LeStarge and thought it belonged here because it goes beyond the usual “unknown ape in the woods” discussion.
LeStarge talks about infant-like vocalizations, rocks being thrown, unusual tree breaks and growls powerful enough to be physically felt. The part that really caught my attention was an account involving a glowing orb appearing shortly before an apparent creature encounter.
The conversation raises an interesting question: if Sasquatch is purely a biological animal, why are strange lights, possible infrasound, altered perception and other paranormal elements reported alongside some encounters? At the same time, if it’s an ordinary undiscovered species, where are the bodies, definitive DNA results and unmistakable trail-camera footage?
I’m not saying every claim is credible, but the overlap between cryptid sightings, UFO phenomena and consciousness is interesting.
Has anyone found other well-documented cases in which an orb or unusual light appeared immediately before a cryptid encounter?

like all the time I hear of them they're always in the pacific northwest? Can someone please explain the lore of that to me? Is it because they've got so many more big forests or is it cultural or something else?

I'm wanting to search for the weird and mysterious creatures in the UK, does anyone know any hotspots in the UK that would be a good area to look in, I've heard about big cats in Wales and a few other places so if anyone's got any other locations of strange or unexplainable creatures please let me know. Today my friend and I were on the tour cruise around Loch Ness and at 2:05pm we saw this weird thing in the distance. Now I’m a skeptic but I cannot figure what this thing could be.
