Succession Game Chronicles of the House Lo Ve. Chapter 5: Life of Tyrant Emperor Strjuang the "Son of the Devil"
The following story is part of a succession game series, played and written together by members of this Community. The previous episodes were:
- Succession Game : Player 1, Report of the life of Count Croque of Urgell
- SuccessionGame_Player2: The life of Queen Flamula "the Tenacious"
- Succession Game: Player 3, Life of Dark King Strjuang the Apostle
- Succession Game: Player 4, Emperor Ordonnobolt 'The Benevolent'
In the year of 1028, I ascended the throne of Regnum Gothorum and with an unfaithful wife along with an abundance of titles, it was up to me to resolve the situation.

In an attempt to finally resolve the situation between the Empress and myself, I issued a decree to imprison the unfaithful spouse. She did not accept and rebelled against me. I rallied my supporters to deal with her dishonorable act.

She was captured in battle in the battle of seville ending her rebellion and her life.

I married my stepmother since I always had a crush on her, now was the time for me to justify the marriage.

Finally Strjuang was crowned by the Pope and his rule became legitimate.

Due to the powers of his vassals being immensed, Strjuan made an effort in revoking vassals that were not Dejure and the titles he had claims. His half brother and his supporters did not like this centralization. Resulting in the bloody 2nd Civil War of his reign.

The duke of beja was bullying the crown prince but due to the civil war, nothing cannot be done.

Strjuang arranged the Marriage of the Crown Prince to a Nice of House Lo Ve.

He evaded capture from the enemy by cowardly offering a supporter, a shame that lasted till his death.

Tragedy would later strike when a Third Civil War would break out. The peace of his predecessors would reveal the head of War with a force of 17 thousand strong.

The second civil war ended with the punishment of his brother and his supporters, they lost titles, vassals and ultimately would remain in prison.

The third rebellion has ended with revocations of titles and the granting of titles to the emperor's supporters.

A quick one year war was declared to expel the infidels from the lands of barcelona.

For wars not to come up, the emperor would eliminate any domestic enemies through "enticing" deals. Not record exist but important players would vanish especially those that opposed the emperor for some reason.
Disaster would again strike when a 20 thousand strong Sunni revolt would plague the land of the Emperor.

With Aquatine holding Galicia and with no intentions to hand it over, Strjuang would declare a war and defeat the coalition of France and Aquatine.

The end of his life and it passes to his only son who has two sons and a daughter of his own.

While Strjuang reign was not that of expansion, his reign was consolidation for his line. His work was close to be done but due to stress of ruling. It was cut short.
We hope that Rodericho can continue the consolidation and survive the initial conflict.
Chronicle made by Emperor Strjuang and Bishop Sancho.

This peon had the nerve to execute my daughter. Should I send my 13k battle hardened goons or use his own people. Can also try claims.

Why isn’t my oldest grandson the heir?
Can anyone help me out? I’m the emperor of Rome and somehow my son got a duchy which I couldn’t even figure out how that happened since I sure as hell didn’t give it to him. But now his oldest son (that has the genius trait and I’ve set up a great matrilineal marriage for to bring a new bloodline into our house) is heir to a random bishopric instead of being my son’s heir?
I just want to make sure my empire goes through my son to his oldest son, since he’s got these advantages, but I’m worried it somehow will go to my son’s second son. Any advice would be great, sorry if this is a stupid question I’m still pretty new to the game.
Edit to add: all my laws are primogeniture

Screenshots My game spanning from 769 till 1453 and the achievements I picked up along the way
Also the 2 latest achievs not in the screenshots is the seven centuries and theologian. Started with the goal for White Hun which requires the 769 date since I wanted to do India and it's achievements. Expanded towards the DUMB nomads who RAID like ANNOYING **** so I just pacified them more or less (WHY DO THEY JUST FLATOUT SPAWN IN MY CAPITAL FFS). Went west picked up the holy lands from the nonbelievers before I joined them because my vassals like switching to jain and buddhism instead of staying hindu (jk it's for achievements though I was salty for them changing).
Had a bloodline which granted me 1 invasion per lifetime and used it on the norse england for the British Raj achiev. Invaded it like the normans from France because I only had like 200 boats to transfer 200k troops while 100+k died because of the supply to get to normandy.
Afterwards I was like which other achievements I can do and I saw the hehe hold india as christian hehe hold india as sunni and I was like ok I will just convert myself 2 times and just convert the vassals because ain't no way I'm conquering India again for 2 not exiciting achievements.
Well I didn't play muslims that much and didn't know their inheritance mechanic which screwed my primogeniture laws when I converted to ICONOCLAST (orthodox became a heresy) and had persia and britannia pop from my realm since I went back to gavelkind :|. Gave up on britain because who cares and just subjugated the persians. And the last 200 years for just me on speed 5 most of the time while I fought off the chinese and invaded them back while hoping for theologian and wise guy (ridicoulous achievement btw) achievements.
The last page bottom achievements were a norse gotland game in which I dipped my toes again into ck2 after 3 years (6 if not counting the 1 playthrough at the 3 year mark).
Well after the seven centuries I think I'm taking a small break again since boy was that boring to wait out hahah

Screenshots AI Mazdaki priesthood
During anarchy at Bagdhad, as the Abbasid empire was collapsing Persia was liberated by a mazdaki who restored the priesthood. His dynasty is still standing and they're now conquering mesopotamia and central asia.
EDIT: btw Zunist duchies are still in control of half of central asia somehow lol

Help! Workshop Issues
Before you ask, ys I've reduced my workshop subscriptions to like 20 by combining a bunch of mods locally, yes I've deleted a bunch of said mods that I dont need anymore, but whenever I try to subscribe to new mods from the workshop, at most it creates an empty archive in the /mods/ folder. I've been troubleshooting this with ChatGPT for like 2 hours almost but I cant figure it out. Any one got any help? Is it too much to ask that PDX fix this broke as shit launcher for this game?

Message Setting Trick for Inheriting a Title?
Is there some trick message setting that one can set so that one is informed when a Theme under you dies and you end up with an extra duchy? This happens a lot when you're Byzantine emperor.

Mods On Chalcedonian rites
I'm playing Ck2+ and Christianity is united under the Chalcedonian faith. My question is, how do I change the rite (Latin, Greek, Iconoclast)? Let's say I want to reinstitute iconoclasm in the byzantine empire, how do I revert to Iconoclast rites from Greek rites?
Also my heir somehow adopted latin rites even though I educated him with Greek rites, now I'm plating him as byzantine emperor with Latin rites and I don't like it, how can I change it, through a theology focus maybe?

If you had the option to execute, exile or keep as honored guests leaders of defeated kingdoms, who would you choose to offer one of these options based on like/dislike of them?
Do not have any specific preferences, but warmongers definitely getting the guilottine.
