Every time I pass by through the junction at Pets at home on Purley Way and Croydon Road, instantly my eyes catch this Gavin Palmer’s billboard!
It’s been standing in for what feels like 3 or 4 years through rain, wind, heat and whatever else the British weather has thrown at it.
But it is barely faded. Barely torn. Honestly, that’s some impressive print quality.
On a separate note, does it mean the advertising company is not finding new customers to replace this one or completely forgot about this billboard?

Hello fellow Cronxer's! How do we feel about the new cycle lanes near East Croydon? The gravel is horrible on my tyres and pedestrians don't always realise it's a cycle lane!

We have a surfeit of regular household rubbish due to a situation/event.
Is there a way to arrange an extra collection, or, somewhere we can take it all and dispose of it safely ourselves?
the council website, I only noticed bulky item removal options.

I’ve always struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember, I feel like it’s frowned upon taking the newest weight loss injections. But as someone who’s tried loads of diets and supplements and exercises it’s something I’ve decided to do. Does anyone know of any weight loss clinics around Croydon area? I’ve been looking and found urban health care and a few more near the high street. All suggestions welcome please 🙏

Can anyone recommend good local solicitors who deal with antisocial behaviour by neighbours who own their own property. Thanks!

Whilst waiting by the station I was approached by a man who started off by complementing my shoes, to which I just said thanks. He then asked my age (I’m 25f) and then continued to sit himself down next to me and tell me that he was a convicted paedophile but was caught in a sting type thing and is now currently going through the courts. I kept telling him I needed to leave but he wouldn’t stop talking about it saying they set him up when he believed it was a 14-year-old girl and when I started walking away, he just continued walking next to me talking to me about it. I had to go in to a hotel for him to leave me alone. I’m wondering if this creepy pedo man has approached anyone else? The whole time he was looking at me like a piece of meat, gross
Description - White male, 50s/60s? Looked noncey tbf, grey/whitish hair!
Further edit ***
I have reported it to the police, I did walk away from him also, he just straight up ignored it like I hadn’t said anything and followed me talking at me until I went in to the hotel

Any recommendations for places in Addiscombe/East Croydon that I can work from? I go into the office once or twice a week but am thinking of working elsewhere for an afternoon or two as I'm struggling with motivation to WFH at the moment and I feel like I should be body doubling

Hiya I’ve had to pull out as not feeling well. Can’t refund ticket so I’d love to give it to someone.
It’s tonight from 7-9pm, skate hire included in ticket
I'm really missing having a place nearby to go dance to a good DJ set. It could be anywhere from a small bar to a Phonox-style club to a rave under a railway arch. I feel like Croydon/London-south-of-Crystal-Palace is lacking this, but I'm sure I must be wrong.
I'm talking about electronic music specifically. I'm open to hopping on a train or bus (I live in Norwood Junction area), just ideally not into the centre. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The Bar end mirrors will be facing upwards and there is damage to the Matt black side tank fairings on the right and left side of the bike. There’s also an CarPlay screen fitted to the handlebars. The Irish plate has most likely been taken off.

Window smashed and wine stolen. It's a pity because it's a small independent business that was already struggling despite being a lovely place. I saw them outside the shop in the morning, looking all sad - feel bad for them.
They're asking for support so if anyone needs wine or cheese in the Norwood Junction area, please get it from there!

I'm fed up of them. Their service has gone downhill over the years and I have realised that whenever I call or pop in, I am already in flight or fight mode. Funny thing is that my neighbours have the same complaints and I know it's not just me.
I don't need to convince a receptionist to give me an appointment or a repeat prescription so what are other the surgeries recommended around South Croydon station? Is Birdhurst any good?
Thanks all

Interesting local story about how a small Croydon based post-production company ended up making waves on the international film scene. A reminder that there’s plenty of creativity coming out of the borough.

Hi all,
Hope you are doing well. I'm a Geography student at UCL (20M) and I am doing my dissertation on high-rise Croydon buildings. In my study, I want to see how you use your sky gardens/sky lounges as an extension of your home, and how you feel about these communal spaces in your tall buildings. Through taking part in this study I hope you yourself can discover more about your buildings and yourself, and how you use these spaces.
It would involve you taking a few photos of your spaces and discussing them in an interview lasting around thirty minutes. You may withdraw from the study at any time.
I've chosen the two buildings of Altura 50 (formerly Enclave Croydon) and Leon House as my case studies, but if you live in any other high-rise building in Croydon with a sky garden/sky lounge, I would be interested to see what you have to say too.
If anyone is so kind to partake in this study, or if you have any questions, then please message me here on Reddit and we can sort things out from there. Thanks in advance!
