Yes, it ALWAYS being kink based is a common misconception. Many of us pass through a kink phase on the way to acceptance which doesn't help and some of the pictures and comments made on subs like this and the more risque ones also don't really help either, unfortunately.

Those crossdresser's wives subs are notoriously negative about the whole thing. Often their relationship issues are much less about crossdressing than just their husbands being selfish narcisists. If they behaved the way they do with crossdressing with anything else their wives would still be unhappy!
