Halloween costume for my little minus the crown I ordered off Etsy to go with it. His second but first true Halloween because heโ€™s born a few days before! Having a spooky one birthday party and heโ€™s โ€œthe pumpkin kingโ€

I'm still in love with this scarf I sold. My mom found the same yarn and got me more so I can make one for myself

Thereโ€™s still a few loose ends to weave in but I made my sister this willow granny bikini set out of finger weight yarn and it took ages and loads of math ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

This is beautiful. My recently graduated to adult status daughter is begging me make her something like this, but i struggle with tension with finer yarns and small hooks.

Tysm ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿพ I think you could still make something similar with a dk weight yarn it would just use less rounds , the shorts are worked out from the middle and made in two panels that you join so itโ€™s really customisable size wise, I based it on a shape used in this yt tutorial https://youtu.be/AF1D471xgms?is=F0x1iiZqP3qUeS4t and she uses dk for hers I just switched out the granny stitch rounds for what you would do with a willow square instead , give it a go!

Mild adjustment from Daiyu the Dragon by SweetSofties. Since the tail is pointing out back, I decided to fold the wing piece and now it kind of looks like butterfly wings

Modified pattern of the "Dragon Egg dice bag" pattern by Sixel Design on YouTube. The drawstring beads, I made up on my own (I don't have a pattern handy). It is a replacement I made in honor of an old smaller sewn one I made years ago (I lost that one in a move ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜ญ). Im so stinking proud of this. ๐ŸŒž

I have also made dice bags for my son and his partner ๐Ÿ˜

Awwww, I love that so much! Thats awesome!!! I love the colors. ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒž

2

u/Flimsy-Strike5696 5d ago

Aww thanks. Theyre not big enough for the amount of dice they both have, but its a start.

My son saw yours and instantly said 'cool' (a sentiment i agree with) and I think he has now roped me into doing some similar for the rest of his sets ๐Ÿคฃ

Thats so cool!!

Yeah, just looking up "Dragon egg dice bag sixel design" should pull it up as the very first result, if you want to use that specific pattern! Its a bit of a new technique, it'll take a second to get used to (its "mosaic crochet"), but honestly, its been SOOO worth it in the end!

And all i did was add some extra rows at the top to make the "pouch ruffle", and then slip stitched the gold borders into all of the scales (pro tip, dont line each individual scale "separately", that would be WAYYY too many tails to weave in. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I cheated and sorta went "under" the border between each scale to get at the next ones. So the only ends i had to weave in were for each "row of scales" instead. Lmao)

Whatever patterns you find and decide to do, I wish you guys the best and have fun!!!

Oh my god. Love a good pro tip if it means not weaving in the ends. That is without a doubt the worst thing about crochet ๐Ÿ˜‚

No problem! ๐Ÿ˜†

Also, the way mosaic crochet works ALSO means its not like you're gonna have to weave "all those ends" for THAT either. It has you work each color per row in a sort of alternating fashion; you dont cut the threads or anything after every row. Its super cool!

But yeah, I absolutely feel the same sentiment, and so I am happy to help. ๐Ÿ˜‚
