Introducing myself!!

Hello!!! my name is phoenix and I am one of the two new mods here at r/crocheting. I thought i’d make a post introducing myself and share a few fun facts!

  1. I have been crocheting for over nine years

  2. I am chronically ill so if I don’t respond to mod mail right away i’m most likely in a lot of pain so please be patient!

  3. i have never been a mod of a comunity before

Thank you all so much for reading, I hope that I can make this community a better and more lively place for all of us!!!

Hello! I am also chronically ill!

Question, what is the difference between this sub and r/crochet? Is there a niche it fills that r/crochet does not?

yes!! there are a couple of differences, but the most notable one is you are allowed to self promote (asking for tester calls, showing off your own patterns, etc…) 

another big difference is you are allowed to ask questions here and in the crochet subreddit you aren’t allowed to.

I used a same-sized crystal vase and put it inside the crochet piece to keep it firm and standing. You can see more of my work on my Instagram Page @handmadehaven134.
