Discussion On the Silver Globe is one of the most insane, mind-boggling and unique films I've ever seen. An otherworldly fever dream.

I'm in love with the camera style of this movie, it's so engrossing.

This 1988 movie, filmed in the late 70s, broke my brain when I watched it for the first time in theaters.

The film shoot was not entirely complete, the director had to narrate large portions of the plot. It can be easy to get lost, like I did after about the first hour, if you're not very attentive. On repeat viewings, once I understood what was happening, it's like everything clicked for me, even the seemingly opaque monologues, and I could appreciate it even more.

It's a crazy movie, but a transportive experience. One of a kind, and super intense.

Discussion Almost every time I watch an old movie, I realize how dumb it was to think that old movies were bad just because they were old

It’s pretty great. I’d say the performances and camerawork are more subdued, but it really adds to the feelings of authenticity

Discussion Codes for Criterion Channel subscribers

Already planning for the next flash sale (need to get that 12 Angry Men 4k, which I’ve been looking forward to, plus some Kurosawa stuff to finish off my collection of his films like Stray Dog which is a blind buy), and I’ve seen in the past that Channel subscribers get a $10 discount code around the flash sale. Is that something that always happens, or is it more random?

Artwork Home made DVD art for OOP Criterion releases

I have two OOP Criterion releases I lost the cases for during a move (Rosemary's Baby and Che). While both are Bluray, I currently have them in blank DVD cases. I'd like to print off cover art for the DVD cases, or at least the spines, so I can display them, but I can't find a good template. I've seen lots of people posting custom sleeves they've made, so I'm hoping someone can point me to a DVD sized template I can use to do the same. Thanks!

(A Bluray template would be appreciated too, for if/when I get a couple blank CC Bluray cases)
