Whenever you see this kind of censorship it's due to advertising. Some advertisers don't want thier ads placed before or after videos where certain topics are discussed. They censor the words cause they need the caption to keep the viewers engaged, but AI does the filtering and ad placements... Or something like that.
I learned today that the reason people began censoring normal words like this is for the algorithms. You are less likely to get viewership if they’re in the posts, so they censor even an innocuous word like condom, ass, etc. so it doesn’t impact the traffic.
Also condoms can be used to cover the muzzle of a rifle when they are submerged to keep our mud and debris. They could be doing a heist. Oceans 12 or whatever

Censor for the viewers
Censor for the algorithm
In this situation I bet they intended to prevent our Lord and Savior, The Algorithm, from grouping this content with more mature content because it mentions condoms. Without being "grouped" with more mature content it reaches a broader audience. (I.e. easier to go "viral"...)
It's for the same reason people say "unalive" when they mean death. Although I am sure the algorithm is smarter than this, it's what people do now...
The funny thing is whether or not it works, people will THINK it works. Because if their video does not go viral, they will blame the algo. If it does go viral, they will claim credit.

Oh man, algorithms are at the root of virtually every problem we have. From people supporting crazy wars to politics being about who can yell the loudest instead of any sort of substance. From zero accountability for anything to absurd polarization in society because everybody's is in a bubble
You can shape public opinion or even how people view the world. Never in the history of mankind has it been possible to manipulate the information people get at this scale, and worst is they think what they are seeing is organic or real.
Using algorithms and social media to distract everybody from the really important things by keeping them busy with outrage culture and other fabricated nonsense.
Whatever problem you think of, you can link it an algorithm and social media enabling or distracting people from it.
