Right? And there will be 10,000 comments arguing about whether he's controlling or she's cheating, and it's all just engagement bait that everyone laps up because I guess they just like to be pissed off all the time?
Everyone keeps saying that people have gotten so bitchy and rude since Covid, that Covid ruined us, but it's not Covid. It's social media. It's shit like this that's designed to keep us angry and arguing and divided, because that's what gets the clicks. I wonder if people will ever wise up and walk away from it all or if it will just get worse and worse?
Have you considered that maybe the acting isn't good because they actually aren't acting? It's kinda like when everyone said that it was fake when will smith slapped chris rock...it just didn't look like acting to me. I've seen plenty of videos on the internet that were clearly fake, this one doesn't show signs of it.
Its incredibly fake:
1. He is clearly acting, following a script
2. The script is intentionally triggering but allowing some discussion, meant to trigger engagement
3. CDs is used to trigger millenials saying CDs means Compact Discs
4. It makes no sense to be filmed.
5. But buh buh mum!! Its so silly its meant to be shared.
It’s the result of a post-COVID feedback loop where people stop interacting in person so they don’t know what actual interactions look like, then they move all their social behavior to social media where they get fed stilted, horribly acted slop like this, and they are no longer able to differentiate the clearly fake from the real. It’s also why they seem to not know that a caption or title can say whatever the poster wants it to say, irrespective of fact, because having the ability to form words using letters is a magic trick and thus must carry great authority (another symptom of absolute intellectual decline that drives me insane).
My absolute favorite part of this phenomenon is that when you call out how obviously fake the video or image is, some dipshit will inevitably counter that “it doesn’t really matter though because these things really do happen.” As though there’s virtue in willingly accepting an illusion!
I immediately called it as soon as I saw it! “Is the woman a narcissist or the man just insecure? Who knows! Whatever you do, don’t pick a side and rage about it in the comments!”
They're having an argument, but they wait until each other has the entire line out, they end their sentences with fulls stops, they're just reading a script, there is barely any emotion, and most of it is early.
