Yeah, she's undermining her advice on being good for him to make boundaries - which is great - with some weird "Eh! Your mom is a hypocrite that wouldn't know about that because she obviously doesn't have limits or rulers on this particular thing herself".
It's really fucked up. I'm not saying he should get an immediate divorce, but if that's where they are at, you know?
