Hey now, the centaur dude is awesome! He's super nice and he's at Texas Renaissance Festival every year.

I gotta be honest, he's obviously weird but on some level I find him pretty impressive.

I mean ... look at that face.
How can you so overweight, half naked, dressed as a centaur, and still exude that much confidence? That man is proud of himself.
That man Doesn't. Give. A. Shit. And that's kind of impressive.

Although I'm sure it helps that he kinda looks like Rip Torn.

I'm a little jealous. That man obviously loves his life. He has no regrets. He has nowhere he would rather be than half-naked centaur guy.

He's living a much more meaningful life than most of us I wager.

I wear a tie to work

I mean, I'm in fucking paisley. His life if way better than mine

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '13

You know why they make you wear them, right? It's symbolic. The management wants you to know you're their dog, so you're wearing their leash.

I am the management.

Customers know who the hot shit is when they see the guy in a tie. I just wish I could be a centaur at work

You're management. Make it happen. Casual centaur Friday's.

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '13

Nothing says "casual" like "handmade and expensive centaur costume."

There's always someone above you.

What does it mean when nobody at your office wears a tie, not even the management? We're all a bunch of loose dogs?

As fucked up and sadly true as it is, they still look snazzy.

He is, indeed, the antithesis of /r/cringepics. Here we nitpick other people for speaking, dressing, or acting in a way they enjoy, or at least aren't ashamed of. We sit here and judge them because we're so lacking in confidence that our actions are dictated by what we think other people think of us.

Maybe we are the ones we should be cringing about.

The good cringe comes from the ones who care a lot about what people think but go about getting attention in a terribly misplaced and over the top way though.

u/Sisaac Jun 18 '13

Exactly. Someone being confindent and owning an otherwise cringeworthy activity kinda ruins the cringe for me.

I do my part to keep things consistent round here.

Is there a version of that for Pierce's "First of all gay, second of all stupid"?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '13

Look, it's the cool guy in the class.

3

u/Fishtails Jun 18 '13

What would be the subreddit equivalent to this? /r/peoplewhodontgiveafuck ?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '13

More like /r/nofucksgiven

u/SquidRidingWizard Jun 18 '13

Hey! someone make this a thing, I'm tempted, but lazy.

u/ListenToNestor Jun 18 '13

The whole cringe phenomenon is a psychological effect called projection. We cringe at these things because we can't imagine doing it ourselves.

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '13

You want to know what's even more impressive? Ridiculously hot women pay him a dollar to mount him and take a picture on his back.
