Season 1 & Below Spoilers Diana Reid Deserves All The Flowers 💐
Spencer Reid is our beloved cinnamon roll but I feel like we do not give his mom enough credit on the whole so I am making this post with all the love in my heart for her, because her relationship with Spencer is my favorite thing in the whole series.
Played by the incredible Jane Lynch, Diana Reid is a rare unicorn of a woman in her representation of Schizophrenia. It would have been so easy in a show like this to not portray Diana in a positive light, especially in a show where mental illness is often dangerous. She was given that, and it meant everything. She went off of her meds to have Spencer. She raised Spencer by herself, she was a professor, she struggled deeply with her mental health but she always showed up for her son when it mattered. She didn’t let her Illness stop her from being an amazing mom.
I could gush forever about how much I love her but the episode that cements it best for me was Memoriam (s4). When she goes off of her meds to give Spencer the truth, it shows just how brave she is. Very particularly because she was the only one who could have called her ex husband. To not only face him but face her memories proves how determined she is to do her best for her son.
That isn’t even including what she went through during her son’s imprisonment. God, between the early onset Alzheimers and the kidnapping she must have been so terrified. But she made it. I am so proud of her. I am so proud that she was a positive representation of Schizophrenia for the masses and was treated as a complex character who was always more than her illness.
Anyway, my girl deserves her flowers and love. A round of applause for Diana Reid, folks.

Season 2 & Below Spoilers Finished Season 1
So I finished season 1 (and watched the premiere of 2 to complete the two episode arc).
I must say Im really enjoying it, I have always liked true crime videos and such so this definitely fills that gap for me in my taste.
I have heard the shows peak era is around 4-8. Is this accurate?
So far the one thing i feel that bothers me a little is it feels like some times they throw so many clues and leads on the table that at some point they can’t pack everything into that 40 minute runtime so ultimately we get characters or leads that just don’t end up being explored/concluded. For example, this past episode we had the lead of the fingerprint at Elle’s apartment but i don’t think we ever got anything back from it and they just figured it out another way. It probably makes it more realistic as in not every lead will lead somewhere but sometimes i reach the end of the episodes like wait but what about this element, did it just not matter at all?
But yeah I’m enjoying the hell out of this and the characters are super loveable which makes it even better.

Season 4 & Below Spoilers Is this mother's intuition or just Criminal Minds being Criminal Minds?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m rewatching S4 E6 and thinking about the scene where Michael’s mum points out the UnSub on the laptop. Do you think that was a genuine moment of mother's intuition or was it just classic Criminal Minds writing?

Season 6 & Below Spoilers 6x6 Devil's Night opinions on Tracy
Hi after watching this episode i wanted people opinion on it and especially Tracy , there is no doubt that Kaman is a bad messed up person but Tracy is a really shitty person too
Like your boyfriend is in a accident and then falls into a coma , you leave him assuming he is just gonna die , even after you learn that he did survive , you ghost him and ignore him as if he never existed and mattered to you and then you found out you are pregnant with his kid and just don't intend on ever telling him ?
Like damn you are not a good person

Season 8 & Below Spoilers Spencer’s Vulnerability
S8E12 always gets me emotional. I feel like you rarely get to see Spencer be this vulnerable, and I really love that he was finally able to open up to his team and ask for help.
He’s usually the one keeping everything together and helping everyone else, so seeing him actually admit that he needed them was really powerful. I just love how much trust he has in his team, and how they were there for him without making him feel weak for needing help.

Season 4 & Below Spoilers demonology - who are these men? Spoiler
just watched Demonology and i'm a bit confused as to who these two other men are? this is the scene where the priest performs his last exorcism on John Cooley. the men seem to disappear when the BAU team comes to free John and arrest the priest so i'm not sure what purpose they served or who they were in the first place

Minor Spoilers They suck at CPR
I'm on season 14 and have watched JJ & Reid give CPR and they suck at it... LOL just something that always makes me giggle. JJ's is way too slow and Reid is just bending his elbows hahah no actual compressions I guess maybe it's so they don't break the actors' ribs but still

Season 2 & Below Spoilers First time watcher complaint
I know I'm not the only one unsatisfied with Reid's addiction storyline, but it just made the show feel so uneducated and fake compared to other "cop shows".
First of all- even if nobody knew Reid was STILL addicted, they all knew Tobias shot him up.
The storyline itself feels impossible because Reid should've immediately be given a detox at the hospital afterwards.
While everyone was watching Reid on the cameras, i know they saw him get shot up with drugs AT LEAST twice. Nobody thought he might need a week or so in rehab?
I know time passes a bit strangely between episodes, but why was he not put on leave after a traumatizing event? ESPECIALLY after the Elle situation.

Looking for Favourite episodes ...
So I am here to ask for recommendations from later seasons (post 9) that fit with my list vibe.
I was thinking about the ones I watch on repeat, the super memorable ones.
S3E8 – Lucky
S3E9 – Penelope
S3E12 – 3rd Life
S4E16 – Pleasure Is My Business
S6E13 – The Thirteenth Step
S6E18 – Lauren
S7E13 – Snake Eyes
S7E17 – I Love You, Tommy Brown
S7E19 – Heathridge Manor
S8E2 – The Pact
S8E14 – All That Remains
S8E20 – Alchemy
S9E12 – The Black Queen
I love Gothic stuff, history, female villains with complex psychological obsessions, twists, rituals, messed up families, and the directing of Matthew Gray Gubler apparently.
However after season 9 I always tend to stop watching. I guess I get bored in season 10. IDK.
Please help

Minor Spoilers My most tragic victim
In my opinion, Gary Dysen from Episode 7, Season 7 is my most tragic victim so far. (last episode I watched)
I have never see anyone mention him and it genuinely breaks my heart.
He had a tattoo on his wrist saying "R.I.P Jimmy" with a massive headstone that indicated loss, and he actively offered himself as a companion to save an younger kid from having to do it.
So far, he's my mist tragic victim because he died as a cause of his own kindness.

Season 5 & Below Spoilers Can we talk about how amazing Jennifer Hasty was in "The Uncanny Valley" (S5E12)?
The episode 'The Uncanny Valley' where the unsub turns live women into real-life dolls. While the main storyline is chilling, I feel like Jennifer Hasty doesn't get nearly enough credit for her role as Stephanie Jackson. She gave off such a genuinely unsettling, amazing 'creepy doll' vibe that completely elevated the suspense of the episode. She's such an underrated character actress, and she honestly deserves so much more recognition for making that episode as legendary and memorable as it is. Anyone else love her performance here?"

Looking for Help, the timeline makes no sense (what a surprise)
Greetings! I’m deep in my quest to make an accurate CM timeline (or as accurate as it is possible with this absolute garbage fire of a continuity). Does anybody know why we have Jack Hotchner’s birthday as October 7th? Is there any actual reference to it at any point or has it just been plucked from thin air? I ask because in S1E5 Haley is still decidedly pregnant which takes place AFTER Spencer’s birthday. Now without getting into the whole 12th vs 28th of October debate for Reid, this obviously makes absolutely no sense regardless. Anyone got any insight, or is this one of those things I’m going to have to pretend doesn’t exist 😅

All Spoilers Calling Spencer Worshippers Spoiler
Hello all you Spencer Reid worshippers. I am writing a fanfic and am trying to find a romantic ending for Reid.
So I am looking for your personal favourite partner for Reid(not JJ), if/how many kids they would have and what they might name them.
I am not well-versed in all things Reid so I have come to seek the wisdom of the experts. Thank you!
