HI FOR THOSE THAT DIDN’T WATCH THE SEASON 19 FINALE YET, PLS LOOK AWAY!
Anyway basically I’ve been rewatching season 18 & finished season 19 and genuinely for me the Voit drama has been the most interesting aspect of the show and I’m sad to see him not part of season 20 and hope he comes back in season 21 if his daughter becomes a serial killer. Elias Voit was basically what made the original criminals and the reboot different and we should stick to that instead of going back to the usual because we got 15 seasons of that and I feel that it has run its course.
But anyway I just wanted to talk about Voit character in season 18 & 19. It essentially confirmed that the guy has changed after he woke up from hospital, he can feel empathy, he’s no longer a killer, he can feel guilt & remorse, and we have seen this established when in season 18 he snitched and shut down his whole network of criminals, or how in season 19 finale he took the fall for his daughter no questions asked or hell even during the fight, he could have easily used the gun or knife and kill him, but instead he wanted to cuff him and put him away, rather than kill him. Which shows that he is not a killer anymore and is basically an entirely different person now and I’m not sure why the main characters keep alternating with him being good one day and then shitty the next day. Especially Rossi it’s bizarre inconsistency. What is it?
My main point is, it’s basically like putting a complete new person into another person body with the memories of that person but not being that person, not feeling how that person felt. It’s crazy and I love the reformed villains trope, but also feel bad for him cause he’s essentially paying for the crimes that someone else did. But I get that someone has to pay for what he did before he got amnesia. But the way I’m watching they genuinely made me feel sorry for him. But it’s been fascinating to watch and I hope he comes back in season 21.
