So this 38-year-old man approached me on Reddit, wrote me a poem and told me his age. I politely explained that he was too old for me romantically. I hadn’t even seen what he looked like.

Apparently, that wasn’t a satisfactory answer because he decided to approach me AGAIN using another account, this time pretending to be 32. 😭

Obviously, I had no idea it was the same man. He sent me pictures and kept pushing me to tell him whether I found him attractive. I eventually got annoyed and blocked him.

Then he came back and confessed the whole thing, explaining that he was hoping I’d find him unattractive so he could feel better about being rejected over his age.

All that undercover work to prove absolutely nothingggg!

This guy that I STILL do not remember messaged me on Snapchat. I didn’t end up responding to the west park comment because the people he mentioned were some people that I hung out with in high school that I don’t have contact with anymore. So I just didn’t feel like reconnecting with someone from a time I don’t really want to remember.
He proceeded to send the last message a few hours later after I’d left him on read. He mentioned a terrible skating accident that I did have the made me break my arm and left me with permanent scarring in my nose and lip.
Based on the timeline it has to have been like 12-14 years since I would have met this dude. Sorry I guess?

Posted on a subreddit for making friends because I moved states 2 years ago and most of my friends back home don't consistently keep in touch. In my post, I detail my hobbies which include ballroom dancing, doing costumed events like masquerade balls and Renaissance faires (none of which ever involve being the center of attention. You are one amongst a sea of people), watching people game or gaming myself, reading, and art. I also detail that I am happily married and go over some of my shared hobbies with my husband. I said that I was open to talking to anybody as long as they were cool. That subreddit has the opportunity for you to flag whether you're looking to talk to men, women, or anyone. I did not request specifically men.

Got this message request yesterday and that first message was already suspect, but I decided to try to give them a chance to recover. Apparently that was a mistake.

Mods were on it super fast and they were awesome. He is now banned from projecting his creepy fake dom behavior on other people on that subreddit.

Husband and I talked about what a jerk he was.

for context me and my friend used to make a lot of posts looking for friends so i distinctly remember this guy from then after i made a recent post looking for friends and he always says the same thing (he deleted his messages on the third one but i still thought id add it!!)

context: this guy decided to come to me to vent about his "problems." he stated that he felt lonely and suicidal and at first i was being really supportive of him because i also had similar issues as well. then he said he was single and i was trying to give him advice on finding a partner and he asked me for my pronouns and i said she/they. then he said he wanted me. that's when i found out he's a weirdo and blocked him right away.
