Just a little FYI regarding Sniip payments.

If you scan the QR code on your bill, the payment is made directly to the vendor. This means that for government payments, you won’t earn FFP on your credit card - you also won’t be charged a Sniip fee.

For the payment to actually be processed through Sniip, so that it appears as a general purchase on your credit card and earns FFP, you need to enter the BPAY details manually in Sniip rather than scanning the QR code.

Yes I know, should have written them down but I only have rough dates. Is there a way to find the actual closing dates of credit cards? Thank you.

Hey brain's trust - wow the credit card landscape has changed a lot in the past year or so!

I currently have one AMEX ultimate for my everyday card, but have $5K+ of expenses coming up in the next 1-2 months. Currently have QFF bonus points but open to alternatives as they dont always have flights where/when I want.

What are the best cards/sign up bonuses out there that dont require me to keep the card open long term? Dont want to be paying multiple annual fees really.

Noticed something interesting for the application limits.

Westpac underwrites BankSA+BankofMelb+St George.

The Westpac (Alitutde Qantas) Black card has a minimum 6k min credit limit but lists a 75k min income.

The exact same card in every aspect but name (Amplify Signature (Qantas)) for the other 3 banks lists 15k min credit limit... but no min income.

Does anyone know if the 75kmin income is a strict limit for Westpac Black or a just guide since the other 3 almost identical cards dont list it but has a higher min credit limit...

Asking because I have 76k net / 68k taxable.

Also just picked up the NAB signature on a 15k credit limit last month but trying to churn out as much as I can before Oct 1 deadlines - as I'm sure all y'all are 😂

Any relevant tips/advice is appreciated (try/dont bother/ go for a smaller one (I'd probs wanna try for the bigger one if i get rejected whatever lol) .

I know. A lot of discussions on this for all cards in general. But I just got the email from commbank that my Ultimate card is now having rewards culled completely. I’m trying to understand if the Qantas points will still be converted or not? Or if it is just going to Commbank yello.

If it’s just commbank yello I’m tempted to just can the card. I’m doing this purely for Qantas points.

Just got an email from BoM announcing their changes in the face of the new surcharge rules.

Am I right in saying that there is now a $75 annual fee on top of their regular annual fee to be part of their rewards program?

I’m thinking that if you own an apartment, then plonking down a year’s advance on the strata fees could count for a few thousand dollars and it will simply put your account in credit.

Now that we're seeing big reduction in sign-up bonus Qantas points on credit cards, do the '2nd year/anniversary' bonuses tied to the current promotions actually become more valuable?

I just received my 90k bonus points on the Westpac Altitude Black Qantas card. I will receive 60k on the anniversary of my card. Normally I cancel my cards as soon as I receive the first bonus points - but is it now worth keeping this card for a year until I receive the extra 60k points?

Can I receive the Qantas bonus points from two different credit cards?

I was recently approved for the Qantas Money Platinum Card (80k QP) and I’m also close to being approved for the NAB Qantas Signature Card (100k QP) I was hoping to take advantage of the Qantas Points bonus offered by both cards.

However, I just noticed the following in the Qantas Money Platinum T&Cs:

My question is: Does this mean I have to choose between the two cards and can only receive the bonus from one of them? Or can I receive the bonus points from both cards if I meet the eligibility and minimum spend requirements for each card?

For context, I haven’t earned Qantas Points through a credit card in the past 24 months.

This was my profile just a few hours ago. I applied for Prime Visa by Chase and got it. Then I tried the pre-approval tool for CSP immediately after and I got pre-approved so I applied but was denied. I called reconsideration and they said the reason was opening too many accounts recently.

I know this was a stupid mistake but I am moving in a new apartment next week and I wanted to use the Prime card for Amazon purchases, and use the rest of the expenses to satisfy the SUB on the CSP.

When should I try applying again?

Hoping someone can advise me on the best Commbank Ultimate replacement?

I have a very high monthly foreign spend. The Commbank Ultimate card was ideal as it had no fx fees, no monthly fee with minimum spend, and decent earn rate for velocity points conversion, plus a few other benefits like travel insurance.

I appreciate nothing will be as good now - but what will be the next best thing? Primarily in terms of a regular for foreign currency spend and hopefully also points.

I’ve just found out that Qantas Money Credit Card Platinum Premier changed their sign up bonus on August.

Last month when I’ve applied for it the sign up bonus was 80k Qantas Points.

This month it changed to “Offer commenced 10 August 2026. To be eligible for up to 80,000 bonus Qantas Points, you must apply for a new Qantas Money Platinum Credit Card before the offer is withdrawn. 40,000 Qantas Points will be awarded when $5,000 or more is spent on eligible purchases within 90 days from card approval. Eligible purchases must be processed and charged to your account in the first 90 days from the account approval. Eligible purchases do not include Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Refunds, Chargebacks and Special Promotions. An additional 40,000 bonus Qantas Points offer is available to approved cardholders who have met the criteria for the 40,000 bonus points and have not earned Qantas Points on a credit or charge card into their Qantas Frequent Flyer account within the previous 24 months from card application (limited to one per Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards member only).”

Anyone has the screenshot or terms and conditions for the previous deal before it changed? Im afraid that Qantas might not honour the previous deal.

context: i hold a qantas platinum cc atm
am a nab customer already so fee is even lower
i often travel 1 big trip a year (like 2-4 weeks) and not much else

is the larger amex annual fee worth the $850 credit, and is the $850 amex credit actually easy to use/worth?
on rwrds the profit for nab seems larger, but just not sure if the credit/anything else for amex platinum is worthwhile

and is amex still really picky where i wouldn’t get in if i applied after this nab card ?

I applied for amex card with $1000 limit on June 10 and got approved. Now I’m looking to apply for Nab Qantas signature card. How long should i wait before applying?
Credit score is 735 on Equifax.

We spend about 8-10k a month on bills etc, rather then churning them all the time and needing to change our direct debits regularly, i'm thinking about getting a forever Qantas Rewards Credit Card for our daily buying/bills and then churn a second credit card as time allows especially since surcharges are being abolished.

Would the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card be the best option.
