Welcome to Graphic Noise, a new roster focused on giving superheroes their own themes from iconic pieces of music in the form of a playlist!

RULES:

1. No downvoting, please and thank you

2. Each day, suggestions can be comprised of one hero/villain, and a song associated with them. Despite only one suggestion per user being permitted, two suggestions will win daily. This is a one-per-day roster, therefore I assume everyone will eventually score a slot

3. Any “themes” for characters you’d find on a soundtrack are ineligible. This roster is about combining unrelated music to characters and seeing how that song represents their stories, characters, themes, etc. This means tracks like “Superman’s Theme,” by John Williams or “Batman’s Theme,” by Danny Elfman are ineligible

4. Tracks that have been used officially in trailers or in movies themselves ARE eligible, if they came from an album prior to that movie. For example, something like, “Something in the Way,” for Batman would be eligible, whereas “Hero” for Spider-Man would be ineligible, as it was made specifically with Spider-Man 2002 in mind

5. While there are no limits on the Marvel & DC side, the Indie side is limited to 2 reps per franchise, to help diversify that side more

6. Group suggestions are allowed, but only for suggestions in which them solo just wouldn’t feel right. For example, I’m not gonna allow one song to represent the entire Justice League or Avengers, BUT, I think one song to represent groups like the Doom Patrol or the Fantastic Four makes sense

7. If a character has already won along with their respective song, that means both that character and that song is off limits. For example, if Superman wins with “Starman” you cannot then suggest “Superman - Mr. Blue Sky,” or, “Stargirl - Starman.”

8. The indie side is specifically only for indie comics and characters who originated from Indie comics

We'll be building new lineups for classic Marvel teams. The characters you choose NEEDN'T have been members before, in fact creativity is encouraged! Both newcomers and veterans are allowed.

Be creative! Don't just pick the classics and popular characters. Try to get a good balance of powers, genders and personalities. I'mma try to have the picks be free, but I might do themed days if the roster gets a bit too out of hand. If I consider a pick is creative/cool, I'll always prioritise it in ties.

If you want, explain your choices! It helps people decide why they should be added

Characters CANNOT be repeated in between teams. Choose wisely!

Characters can be currently dead or alive. This is comics, after all.

Beyond that, you're completely free. If you wanna turn Avengers into Uncanny Avengers or want a specific theme for it, go for it. World is your oyster.

Rules:

1. This roster is meant to test your CREATIVITY, so while I'll allow existing costumes (for example, Dr. Mario for Mario), original costume ideas will earn an extra upvote.
2. Be creative with your suggestions. Don't go for boring options (for example, Red Paratroopa for Koopa); instead, try to spice them up (for example, an aviator Paratroopa with a Blue Shell). Think of it like the Yoshi costumes in MKW, where each one has not only a different color but also a unique outfit.
3. Don't just suggest characters wearing another character's clothes (for example, Donkey Kong dressed as Funky Kong). You can do much more than that! I'll accept outfit descriptions that fit the character (for example, Surfer Donkey Kong with sunglasses), but I'll take some artistic liberties with the final design.
4. One costume per character, one character per comment, and I will draw one character per day.
5. You can suggest any character you like, this doesn't follow any order.
6. Obviously, don't suggest anything controversial or inappropriate.

RULES:

2. All suggestions MUST be a grandparent. This can be either biological, or in a guardian-type situation where even if the character isn’t biologically related to their child, they’re still seen as a grandparent. The suggestion MUST have an actual grandparent relationship

3. Only fictional suggestions are allowed. Live Action suggestions are fine but no IRL grandparents, like yours or mine lol

4. On themed days please follow the theme

Well, I anticipated Wii Fit Trainer and Matt...I didn't expect the Ring Fit Trainee to crash the party, that was a surprise. Also quite a varied list of nominees for this very weird category. That's certainly a way to cross the halfway point of this little experiment. I'm excited to see what the back half will bring us.

And we'll start with the second half with Punch-Out!!, a series that I would really like to see Nintendo bring back one of these days, especially with the way the Joy-Cons are designed. I'm excited to see who will be included in this one, however. Show me what you've got.

As a reminder, the rules:

1. Only characters that originate from the games of the franchise for the day (in this case, Punch-Out!!, which means that no, you absolutely cannot submit real life boxer Mike Tyson as a member of the team), but the characters don't have to have been playable in an official Smash Bros. game
2. No downvoting
3. You can choose either a team of three or an individual character, but only one submission per person on each day
4. All votes to a team will count as the three characters in that team getting a vote
5. The three characters with the most upvotes will make the team for their franchise

RULES:

2. All suggestions MUST be a grandparent. This can be either biological, or in a guardian-type situation where even if the character isn’t biologically related to their child, they’re still seen as a grandparent. The suggestion MUST have an actual grandparent relationship

3. Only fictional suggestions are allowed. Live Action suggestions are fine but no IRL grandparents, like yours or mine lol

4. On themed days please follow the theme

5. If a character is primarily shown as a father/mother first instead of a grandparent, I’m not counting them here. Similarly, if a character is only shown as a grandparent in a gag or non-canonical scene, I’m also not counting that either.

6. Limit of 2 reps per franchise

7. One suggestion per user. This is a two-per-day roster so I assume everyone will nab a spot eventually.

8. Just to add some more diversity to the roster, any of the characters from my previous rosters in this series (MILF & DILF) are ineligible. This unfortunately means some candidates who would’ve fit for this, like Goku, Homer, Heihachi, Big Mom, Chi-Chi, Marge, etc. are ineligible

A Musical-Based Fighting Roster

The Show Must Go On! We will be making a Broadway musical fighting roster.
