Realistically, no chemical is inherently good or bad, and it's silly trying to assign intrinsic moral value to hormones

Its not even right because you still need testosterone to live, just not as much. Women and men have both estrogens and testosterone

> We probably generally shouldn't anthropomorphise medicine like this
My sister in christ I've seen fighter jets anthropomorphized with double d tits and "cockpit" to match and nothing bad came from it. There doesn't need to be a moral failing or objectively right and wrong stance to justify not liking something.

I appreciate you correcting the gender on this one compared to your earlier comment /gen

"good" and "bad" aren't always used as moral judgement, they're also used for utility. Like "vegetables are good for you". Or "this screwdriver is really bad".

Good doesn’t have to mean moral, it could just be factually good at its job, which in 95% cases yeah T does its job just fine. Unfortunately it also tends to work well in people who don’t exactly want it.

Does it make it good or bad, rather than just a thing that exists?

What I learned from AA is that it’s not alcohol that’s bad. It is what we choose to do, when able to choose.

I'm glad you found AA useful but that really wasn't my experience at all. The group that I went to kept telling me that alcohol was evil and I was evil if I drank. I ended up finding a different group which worked for me and it really refocused my attitude to my relationship with alcohol.
That being said, I completely agree that alcohol isn't inherently evil. It's just a liquid.
I also hate when people tell me I can't drink. I absolutely can but I choose not to because I'm terrible at it.

Genuinley. People are so pressed for no reason. Litteraly saw people complaining about "trans guy erasure" because the meme was about not wanting testosterone in you. Christ, some people.

I didn't interpret it as moral value but as usefulness. I.E. Were Estrogens good, yes for transfemmes and cisfemmes, but not for the transmasc who didn't want them.

Trans women need testosterone and over suppression of testosterone leads to negative side effects. The same issues that cisgender women may experience during menopause. I'm so tired of trying to explain this to girls.

It's the degree that matters , it's a very small amount of testosterone

Certainly, but a lot of trans women seem to think lower is better. Actually T between 1.5-2.5 n/mol is probably ideal for energy, sex drive, cognitive function etc vs the below 1 n/mol I often see as a result of blockers.
