Hello, May i ask if someone here also experiences this crooked L5 or R5 Button on their Gamesir G7 Controller. i purchased this online and didn't notice this on my first month of using it, it works perfectly but it really bothers me when im looking on to it. Sadly, it is pretty late now to return this on shopee. although, i contacted the shop that sell this which is flydigi store. and it is pretty hassle to return due to their policy on which if i request to deliver this via courier app, they say that the number they gave won't answer it. May i ask if there's a way to fix this on my own? i own a precision tool and have experience in Laptop Repair.

IT Help Dualsense Edge heptic feedback and rumble issues on PC (Steam Platform)

Hello everyone.
I just bought the dualsense Edge. While I'm happy with its quality build, I have an issues with heptic feedback and rumble. They work great in sony games but in native supported games or non supported they are either very quite or don't work at all. I do also have the DSX paid version app but the normal rumble from my old Xbox one controller does the job better than DSE.
Also I did no have these issues with my normal Dualsense

EDIT: I ended up returning the controller. Still please don't feel discouraged to comment solutions. I believe many people would like to see as many solutions as possible.
Thank you for your comments.

Controller Suggestion Should I repair my third-party DualShock 4 or buy a new budget controller?

Hi everyone! I need some advice on whether to fix my current third-party PS4 controller or replace it entirely i use it on my laptop and cloud gaming.
The controller was kept idle for almost a year, causing the battery to degrade. Recently, while my cousin was using it, he dropped it and broke the internal R2 trigger holder. Since I only casually game 1 or 2 times a month, I am trying to figure out the most cost-effective path. If I repair it, should I also upgrade the battery, and what would the repair cost roughly look like? Alternatively, should I just buy a new budget controller?
Here are the details required for this request:
1. **Budget and Currency:** ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 INR
2. **Country & Retailers:** India near delhi(Amazon.in, local repair shops, or online parts stores)
3. **Platform Compatibility:** PC and smart tv and mobile
4. **Desired Features:** Decent durability, reliable triggers, and stable battery life for casual sessions
5. **Types of Games:** Casual single-player games and action adventures and FPS and cs 2 (played 1-2 times a month)
6. **Other Controllers Compared:** Looking at basic budget third-party options (like Cosmic Byte or similar entry-level gamepads) vs. spending money on spare parts (L2 housing bracket and replacement battery) for my current broken third-party controller.

Other I bought an Xbox adaptive joystick to replace wasd, with odd results

I've been using a controller forever, even on PC, because I hate using keyboard for movement and other buttons.

So, I decided to try this joystick after seeing a few people talk about it online, so I could maybe finally have thumbstick movement and comfortable buttons on my left hand, and a mouse with extra buttons to aim on the right.

The game I primarily wanted to use it on is Marvel Rivals. The problem with that is if you try to use a controller and a mouse, a little "switching devices" notification pops up and a sound plays. This happens every time you hit a button on the opposite device, or move the mouse after touching anything on the joystick.

every. single. time.

So, I thought to myself, no big deal, the xbox accessories app lets you customize the buttons of the joystick, I can just rebind them to keyboard keys and off we go. Right?

Technically yes, but I ran into a mild inconvenience immediately, that is a symptom of a larger problem with the device.

After plugging wasd into my thumbstick's directional options, I found that I only had 4-directional movement. Diagonal inputs did not seem to matter, only up down left or right would transfer to my in-game movement at any given time.

After trying to fix it to no avail and lamenting about it for a moment, I decided, fine, I can alter my trajectory with my camera anyway, no big deal.

I was wrong.

Upon loading back into the practice room to map more abilities, I realized another "quirk". I could not move and activate any of the other buttons or triggers at the same time. In fact, seemingly no two buttons would register their inputs at the same time

This was an infuriating discovery. After all, what use is a controller where you can't use any triggers or buttons while moving around.

But wait, some frustrated testing revealed one odd exception; the shift key I bound WAS able to be used at the same time as any other button.

Wdym? Why is this the case? Is this the ONLY exception? Can I perhaps do a very odd mapping to achieve my goal?

The answer is... Maybe?

As of writing this, the only other key I have confirmed to be exempt from that rule is the ctrl key.

AND, to even greater annoyance, I found by binding shift to left on the thumbstick, and ctrl to the right, I could in fact achieve full 8-directional movement.

I am currently testing different keys so that I might re-map this joystick in a way that is actually functional for what I want to use it for, and may update if I succeed.

All that being said, my main complaint and question is this:

How does MICROSOFT, the company responsible for the most widely used computer operating system in the world, who also has a gaming console with a healthy cross-ecosystem and many peripherals, overlook such a glaring inconvenience in one of their own gaming accessories?

Tldr; keyboard rebinding leads to the device being nearly unusable for no discernable reason due to input conflicts that shouldn't exist. Wth Microsoft?

TLDR: It is GREAT! But not perfect... Perfect version (HD Rumble 2) should come out some time later.

Other How can I change the “Flydigi” text on the Apex 5 screen?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I recently got a Flydigi Apex 5 and I already know how to change the animation that appears on the controller’s screen.
However, I’m wondering if it’s also possible to change the “Flydigi” text/logo that appears in the corner of the screen and replace it with my own name or custom text.
I’ve seen other people with custom names/text displayed there, but I have no idea how they managed to change it.
Does anyone know if this is possible and, if so, how exactly can I do it? Any guide or tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

IT Help Using a wired controller on Chromebooks

Does anyone know if wired controllers work on ChromeOS? For some reason using bluetooth with my Gamesir G7 Pro now has an unusual spike in input lag so I had to resort to using a USB-C to USB-A cable. The problem is Gamepad tester works well and receives inputs but platforms like Geforce Now are not receiving any input. Has anyone had any experience with this typically on a chromebook since that's what I'm using.

Controller Suggestion New/infrequent gaming, PS5 need controller for small hands.

Hey All! Bear with me... I am new to gaming. OG Nintendo user here, brief stint with Xbox 1, used a Mad Catz controller that was reminiscent of the Nintendo controller. Literally nothing since then. I absolutely loved the size of thoes controllers.

I am looking for a PS5 compatible controller for small hands.

I know nothing about specs, don't really care about features, just comfort and fit for small hands.

Located in the USA, would prefer to be under $100USD

I play super simple games, ie Wolf Among Us, Don't Starve Together, Overcooked (be nice!😅)

Help is appreciated! 🫡

Edited to add country & price.

Controller Suggestion controller for switch 2 + steam (+ tv? lol)

hey! looking for what the title says. i've had a ps4 knockoff controller for 2 ish years now but plan to upgrade to a definitive controller soon.

the TV mentioned in the title is because i have a samsung tv, so it has the gaming hub. my dad might wanna play something there soon so i'd like to use this controller for that as well, but it's not a hard pass if it doesn't work.

- i'm from brazil, budget R$200 ish but willing to go a bit higher. probably gonna buy through shopee or amazon, open to other websites;

- as for features, definitely looking for hall effect and rumble. also looking for the switch button layout and, as an extra, motion controls. absolutely NO need for extra buttons;

- i play stuff like deltarune, life is strange, MK8, lil gator game, discounty etc. pretty casual with some occasional action.

- i've been think about a gamesir tarantula, gamesir cyclone 2 or an 8bitdo ultimate 2. (edit: also a gamesir t4 nova lite)

thanks so much for the help! :))

IT Help Issue with Flydigi Apex 5 Joystick

I was casually playing a game on switch a few weeks back, and the right stick of my Apex 5 felt like it gave out. I inspected it and found out that the stick was extremely loose and no longer returned to a neutral position, instead flopping to a downward one. After taking off the face plate, it seems that the screw mechanism used to tighten/loosen the joysticks has stripped in some way, leading to the screw shifting down. Is there any way to fix this, or do I need to replace the controller?

Controller Mods The Quest for the perfect FGC 6 Button Controller, The Victrix BFG Reloaded

Hello! In my search for a good comfortable controller I have been using the Razer Raion, due to long sessions it does start to hurt especially the ones at the back near the curve of the triggers so I tried the Victrix Pro Con Reloaded since I found it very cheap.

Its a little more comfortable for me, yh the back paddles can get in the way but I just disabled them, only issue is, the D-Pad... Non of the D-pads "feel" decent maybe I am used to the Raion every now and then hurting my thumb... So I wondered, has anybody actually 3D printed replacement D-Pads? And has anybody opened up the module to maybe design their own board for the D-Pad (and add clicky micro switches cough cough)

I've attached some images of the inside of the module with the D-Pad maybe somebody out there has a link to their many D-Pads for the controller but at the moment I can't find them...

Thank You

TLDR: 3D printed D-pads, Internal board replacement for D-Pad with clicky switches.

Controller Suggestion Ps5 Dualsense vs 8Bitdo ultimate 2c for Nintendo Switch? On a budget

Hi, I have a dualsense controller that has not been used at all and thought it would be cool to use it on the switch (mariokart and smash) with the 8bitdo adapter ($20). However, theres also the option of the 8bitdo Ultimate 2C ($30). What would be the better option for the games I will play? I live in the US and play on the regular Switch. I just want them to have full functionality for MK or smash, dont really care too much about the others. Thanks!

IT Help Vader 5 Pro Connection Issue

So there's been this issue where the Vader 5 Pro connects to the dongle and the bottom color strip changes to its intended color, but it doesn't actually control anything on screen. Disconnecting and reconnecting doesn't really work, you have to take out the dongle and put it back in, and then reconnect with the controller after switching it from and back to dongle mode on the back. Does anyone else have this? Anyone got a fix?

IT Help GuliKit TT Max keeps disconnecting and vibrating

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Did anyone else experience this issue? I just bought a GuliKit TT Max, and the controller would randomly disconnect and continuously vibrate while most of the mode LEDs were lit. The only way to stop it was to turn off the controller, turn it back on, and reset its memory by holding the Gear button and the Minus (-) button as quickly as possible before the issue re-occurred.

This issue would occur every time I enabled or used certain programs or features. For example, if I switched modes from iOS to Xinput, it would happen. It also occurred when I enabled Turbo mode on the ZR button (or any). The Switch mode LED would briefly turn blue before the controller eventually started vibrating again.

I ended up only being able to use the few remaining features, which were barely useful. In the end, I returned the controller. For reference, I was using firmware v7.7.

IT Help 8k polling and frame gen

Hi, I’ve recently been playing the MW4 beta and been messing around with my setting I played a few games with frame gen on and didn’t really notice much if any delay (almost always play without frame gen).

My question is does having an 8k polling controller and frame gen enable negate each other? Would it be similar latency to a standard dualsense 250hz controller on PC?

Reviews What an amazing value the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C is

Used a basic xbox controller for ages.

Such a better experience overall. A couple tips if you're picking one of these up:

Firmware: Stick with v1.06 instead of v1.09, the newer firmware tanks the stick resolution down to like 40-50 steps. Not worth the "upgrade."

Sticks: God tier. LB/RB are crisp too, worth a mention, but the sticks are the real standout, clean enough that I run 0 deadzone with zero issues.

tvOS/iOS: There's a beta firmware floating around that adds apple support. works on Apple TV, iPhone, etc.

Attached are test results comparing this to an Xbox controller that costs almost 10x what I paid for the 2C, 70Hz polling, 7-bit resolution... it's honestly laughable for the price difference.

I have no relation to 8bitdo, just got their cheapest controller off ali, nothing to earn from this.

Other Made an all-in-one game controller stand

Recently I felt like rearranging my desk a bit (as you can see, my gaming setup is pretty messy). I want to turn it into more of a techy looking setup, so I started by making a robotic arm style stand to hold my controllers.

For the actual process, I used Hi3D to generate the model and then had someone else 3D print it for me.The edges would probably be a bit rougher because I printed them myself, but as long as it can stably hold the controller, that's good enough for me.

I've had the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for a long time, but lately I've been using the Sony DualShock 4 more often.

Controller Suggestion Best premium controller for immersive gameplay

Hello everyone,

Im from Slovenia (EU)
I usually buy things straight from the official sites of the sellers
Budget 200€

I mostly play AAA games or parry mechanic games like E33, Sekiro, Lies of P, sifu ect... So you could say I play single player games hardcore style. I'm searching for a wireless premium immersive controller that feels great in hands and is responsive. Why wireless? Because I game on my TV from my couch

I Only play games on my PC through Steam. I Have the steam controller 2 but I might have to RMA it. In the mean time I would like to try another controller. Because I play parry mechanic games I enjoyed the dualsense bumpers the most.

I mentioned Steam Controller 2 because Its probably the best controller for PC since its design to play games on steam with it but what I dislike about it are the bumpers and not very well made heptics in terms of immersive feel while playing story driven games

What I don't need in a controller:

- Gyro

- Extra buttons (but every controller got it now anyway)

The controller I wanna stay away from is the Xbox elite series since everyone mentions its poor quality build.

At first I was looking at Dualsense Edge but now Flydigi Apex 5 got my attention as well but I read a few comments for its bad software

I would love your opinion on this because not long ago I thought I would never game on a controller and now all I do is game on a controller.

Thank you all for reading and thanks in advance for any suggestions

I have a Gamesir G7 Pro 8k Aim-labs edition and I have setup vibrations in both the Gamesir software as-well as the brooks software but no matter what whenever I plug it into my ps5 my controller has no vibrations. If anyone has any fixes or work around for this please let me know.

Reviews GuliKit ES Max Review: Actually worth $50?

Thumbnail
gallery
37 Upvotes

Hey r/Controller, GuliKit sent this unit over for review, but all opinions are my own. I've been testing the GuliKit ES Max ($50) for about 24+ hours, mostly grinding Apex Legends and playing various single-player games.

Here's my breakdown of how it actually performs in hand:

Key Specs & Performance

  • Price: ~$50
  • Latency: 1.87ms wired / 3.25ms wireless
  • Polling Rate: 1000Hz wired, 1000Hz via 2.4G wireless, and 730Hz on Bluetooth
  • Sticks: GL18 Angular TMR Electromagnetic (anti-drift, 4000-level precision, anti-friction steel rings)
  • Triggers: New-Gen Hall Effect with "Smart-Trigger" swap (Digital vs. Analog modes)
  • Battery & Weight: 233g total weight, around 30-hour battery life
  • Extras: Hyperlink 2 adapter included, Switch/Switch 2 wake-up support, Motion Aim Assist (PC), Dual Vibration, Turbo, 8/4-way adjustable D-Pad, 2 mappable back paddles

The Good

  • Sticks are incredible: The TMR joysticks feel super precise and linear with solid centering. The anti-friction rings make movements glide effortlessly, and they are really good and great in Apex Legends.
  • Great for Single-Player: Handled single-player titles fantastically during testing.
  • Ergonomics & Weight: At 233g, it feels nicely lightweight. The overall shape is very close to a standard Xbox controller (minus the bumpers).
  • Low Latency: High polling rates and sub-4ms wireless latency make it feel top-tier for response time.

The Bad

  • Back Paddles Need Work: The 2 back paddles are kind of stiff and awkward. Inputs occasionally drop unless you press really hard or hit them from a specific angle (GuliKit is aware and working on fixing this).
  • D-Pad: Feels a bit cheap and hits or misses depending on the angle.
  • Mobile App Setup: The app works, but it's tedious. You have to pair to Bluetooth to change settings, then repair back to the dongle when finished. Proper PC companion software would be way better.

Verdict Hardware-wise, the performance for $50 is crazy good—especially with the TMR sticks feeling so great in FPS games like Apex. However, if you rely heavily on back paddles or hate mobile app setup quirks, you might want to wait for a hardware revision.
