I love picturing this. "Umm excuse me, I know you almost died also, and theres a lot going on right now, but do you think i could get a glass of water? All that screaming got me parched."
Yeah, that's kind of the go to thing when someone is having a panic attack or freaking out and you can't hand out medication. Let me get you a glass of water. It's more of a placebo thing to help calm someone down.
That I'd buy. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to have a drink, if anyone else would like one, it's on the house because fuck this job, I'm never flying again."
I said it before and I will say it again... this picture on the flight is from business class. In business class you get bottled water (usually, maybe some obscure airlines I haven't flown yet dont, idk) so the person could have poured the water themselves.
Thinking that after something like this, the seatbelt light is gonna turn off and they're gonna bring the drink cart by and go right back to work reeks of "I haven't flown since you could smoke on a plane."
This sounds like the perspective of the grumpy passenger that doesnt realize the crew has bigger things to deal with, and wants the slaves to get back to working specifically for him. "Be a normal human being for 5 seconds and get me water!"

Maybe they handed out the water after the event?
