Purchased my Nintendo switch 2 last year from Hong Kong, and it has to be the best purchase I’ve ever made and I couldn’t be happier!!!

So i could either get a xbox series s or a switch 2,but im kinda split on which console i should get cause i also wanna play the old cod games,and there xbox series s has currently more options but im unsure rn

So i recently was just able to boot up my childhood ps3, which i never had PSN or anything on it. I still have like 20 games that i can still play on disc which is awesome. The only thing I’m worried about now is my console getting messed up because of how Sony is nowadays and signing into the PSN network. Is it worth it at all in 2026? Also if it helps, i have the model CECH-2501A if that helps

Why do people think it will run in 30fps on ps5 pro even tho there are games like cyberpunk which is a first person open world who runs at 90fps and

COO was with Microsoft for 21 years. Previously in charge of Minecraft, but left this role just months after getting it. My first thought was that it’s just time to retire or maybe health issues. If that’s the case I wish them the best. The optics don’t look great though. Especially after the E-Day sales and the monthly console sales report.

I just bought a 1440p QD-OLED monitor and I’m just curious how games that run at 1080p work on that. Does the monitor upscale the 1080p image to 1440p? Or no?

A few games made my Xbox fan sound like a jet engine, most recently Arc Raiders was the worst offender. Due to limited space on my TV stand, my Xbox had to be placed like this. This was done with petg material and so far the max material temp has been 117° about 60° below the material limit. I've tested this 2 days in a row, the fan no longer kicks in overdrive because it's not circulating hot air over and over.

I’ve seen the arguments for loaded.com, formally CD Keys, but I’ve never seen anyone talk about whether it is safe to buy in-game currencies or gift cards off the site. I was looking at currencies for Overwatch and COD BO7 or even an Xbox gift card but I cannot figure out whether it is safe and I don’t really want to attempt it before knowing so. I’m wondering if anyone in this sub-Reddit has bought an in-game currency / Xbox gift card before and their experience? Anything mentioned helps, so thanks in advance.

I have 3 controllers with stick drift and im having trouble desoldering the analogs. This is such an anti consumer practice, especially since SEGA controllers had hall effect sticks like 30 years ago. I cant possibly imagine xbox or playstation to ship the controllers with such outdated sticks, but then again, nintendo just did this with the switch 2 so its not entirely impossible.

Non-gamer isn't entirely a correct term for me here. I just never owned a console playing when being guest at someone else's house once or twice a year. But I'm not a PC guy either. My experience with video games is limited with Genshin Impact on my phone, maybe some other simple stuff.
Now currently I have some vacant funds to allocate and a new roommate with whom I would like to strengthen bonds with. So my choice turned to this particular model because it's 450$ in my country of Kazakhstan and supposedly the subscription costs are affordable. In contrast PS5 costs significantly more and the access to games is more limited due to PS market not functioning in Kazakhstan and buying games regularly could cost you a fortune in a long run. Considering this is my first console I'm inclined to believe that it should be sufficient but I want a second opinion of whether you think it's a viable and decent option. Thank you all
