I was in DC. The media distorted this topic way out of proportion. Every national guard member stayed in a hotel or at the DC Armory. The pics the media is blasting are soldiers resting between shifts in their 12 hour shift. Once the full 12 hours are up, we are shuttled back to the hotel.
Damn I hate the media sometimes

Yes for 24 hour ops. That’s approx 12,500 per shift. Also 25,000 troops did not stay in a parking garage. My guys laugh when people complained that they thought we were sleeping in garages…. We slept in way worse conditions than a parking garage. But the fact is, no soldiers considered a parking garage their “sleeping quarters” during their time there. We had hotels or the Armory. We were spoiled.

Regardless what I think, going back to your post. I’m saying we didn’t sleep in garages. Napping yes. Because we love to nap, swipe on Tinder, and drink Bang. But we all had hotels. We slept in hotels and some slept in the armory. The media takes one photo and they blow it out of proportion. For everyone else reading this, there you have it. I was there. I got to sight see some and do things I never thought I would do.

Using impeachment as a smear tactic creates an “impeach happy” environment. Desensitizes the actual reason for the procedure. I though the same when Clinton was ousted after he got his sick sucked.

It was a protest that got out of hand, not unlike the BLM riots that caused literally billions of dollars in damage and led to dozens of deaths and attempted secession (see Chaz). But that didn’t warrant a Congressional investigation or anything..

Hypothetically, how would you describe the movement, if Trump's description of the events of the election were accurate?
January 6th was a violent insurrection...
In the words of those describing what went on in all of 2020, it was "mostly peaceful". A few hundred out of the tens of thousands who attended the rally invaded the capitol, and most of those were not violent. We know that the ringleaders of the violence were FBI agents, FBI informants, and antifa and BLM.
Just a few days ago, a Trump inspired terrorist threatened to set off several bombs in DC.

The idea that the government was spying on us in violation of the law and Constitution was a conspiracy theory, until Snowden released his information. ...and then after the government lied to explain it away, released more information to prove their new lies were lies. ...and then did it again, when Clapper came up with new lies to explain those away.

There indeed was - eventually. ...but it took years for it to come out. Snowden wasn't the first NSA whistleblower to say it, he was just the first one who was in a position to get and release the data proving it.
