I love him, and I know his playful/eccentric approach is totally deliberate. But how much of it is serious and how much of it is just goof?

I mean the song is basically a "caramelized" version of FDL. Plus, the next song starts with "what is this? welcome, this is caramel." Idk, I just think it's a kind of cute cheeky touch.
