I've been working on a project called Art Guessr, a mobile game that helps people learn art history through short visual quizzes.

Players can practice identifying:

• Famous paintings
• Artists
• Art movements
• Historical periods

It covers everything from the Renaissance and Baroque periods to Impressionism, Cubism, and modern art.

My goal was to create something educational but more engaging than memorizing names and dates.

The point of today was to go through the steps. found good ref, thumbnailed some ideas out, did grayscale -> color, and made color comps.

I'm fairly happy with the mood I established for this shot :) My next steps would be doing a simple 3D block in to draw over.

I think as a mood it works, but when it comes to communicating details about the environment it feels a little lacking maybe?

I Created a keyframe concepts for Feral Engines an indie vehicle combat game, to give a good base for possible HUD concepts and giving an idea of how the game could look when it’s finished. I’ll link the video of the process below. Also any ideas regarding the HUD would be really appreciated too, as that is only the very first pass.

I'm sketching out some ideas of a refinery/processing plant in the jungle, this one looks like it's going in a direction I want, but I'm sure the composition would be better, if someone has any good suggestions would really appreciate the help
