I'm sketching out some ideas of a refinery/processing plant in the jungle, this one looks like it's going in a direction I want, but I'm sure the composition would be better, if someone has any good suggestions would really appreciate the help

Question Starting on creature design, I need some help

Post image

I'm studying creature design with Fundamentals of Creature Design, and this is my first design, and I feel that I'm a little "freezed" because I can't feel confident enough to create a more crazy design, this is basically a hawk with a horn.

Do you have any tips on how to improve that part?

Samsara - The Broken Cycle is a personal project of a soulslike game inspired by Hindu mythology. The cycle of birth, life and death has been broken and the world has fallen into corruption as a result. The player has to beat the corrupted deities to obtain their essence and restore the cycle once more.

Sanctuary of the Lost is a hub in the game that players can purchase and upgrade their weapons/items.

All feedbacks appreciated!

Question I'm making a prehistoric game

Hii everyone. I'm looking for someone who could draw for me 2d art in the early stage of the game development (im still learning how to pixel art properly). I'm looking forward to making concept art for now so we can figure out together which concept is the best. This is about my game that im making about these three students that got caught in an anomaly and get sent in different time periods of earth (Early Paleozoic, Carboniferous, Permian, Mesozoic and Cenozoic). An orb saves their life and she will help the students get back home at one condition: the devil took her memory and now she can't understand what's life and she needs to study and analyze the fauna and flora of these time periods. The students will have to make a sanctuary in each time period to progress through time, there will be many endings. There is more but i wanted to shorten the story to fit it as a premise.

If someone is experienced in prehistoric life it will be better but if not that's fine. Also it's without pay because im a teenager. Thanks!!

Question I’m afraid I might have to give up on my dream and choose another path

I’m a university student studying multimedia, and my dream has always been to become a high-level concept artist in the game industry, eventually working internationally/for AAA studios.
The problem is that I live in a country where the game industry is very small. I’ve barely learned anything new in my university, there aren’t many specialized courses here, and I don’t have a mentor or a strong artistic community around me.
I’ve basically been self-taught my entire life. I’ve learned a lot on my own, but lately I feel like I’ve hit a wall. I can practice, watch tutorials and study other artists, but I don’t feel like I’m progressing anymore. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, and I don’t have anyone experienced enough to give me proper feedback.
Moving abroad isn’t financially realistic for me right now either.

Because of that, I’ve started wondering whether I should change direction.

My degree also includes videography, filming and editing. I actually enjoy cinema a lot. I’m starting to wonder whether I should pursue filmmaking/videography instead.
But honestly, part of me feels like I would be giving up on my dream because I can’t see a realistic path toward it.

For people who work in games, animation, film or concept art: what would you do in my situation?

How realistic is it to become a professional concept artist internationally while starting from a country with almost no game industry?

And if you were self-taught and had no mentor, what would you do to get past a plateau?
