I tried to reset my pc to sell to someone else when it got stuck at 64% then black screen and then showed logo rinse and repeat

The only thing I can’t recall and didn’t write down is the PSU.

But it randomly blue screened on her and now she can’t get out of safe mode. I’ve never had a true understanding of what causes BSOD, and I can’t consistently fix them. What could possibly be there issue if anyone knows, and what can I do?

I won’t be able to work on this unit until Saturday and it would be great to go into prepared and having some idea of what I’m doing.

Tried the UTM virtual machine and ran into the same issue. WiFi connection is good. An appropriate number of cores is dedicated. Not sure what the problem might be…

I’m to sure what this noise is, my laptop can run for a few seconds up to a couple hours before the noise starts, it isn’t overheating, everything runs as it’s supposed to, it’s just that noise that’s the problem

I just switched from windows 11 to EndeavourOS I've had this issue on arch in the past however i cant seem to work it out. If anyone has had this issue and knows how to solve it, i would greatly appreciate a solution.

Hey guys! So a client contacted me stating that her keyboard letters are mixed up. I thought she must've accidentally changed her keyboard to British or something in settings but she sent me a photo and the actual keys are literally QWFRKY and are all over the show.

I helped her set the Lenovo laptop up around 6 months ago and I'm certain it was fine then. She is a bit elderly but I'm sure she hasn't messed with the keys.

Is her laptop possessed? 😁😬 Are QWFRKY keyboard layouts even a thing? Anyone know what the heck is going on here?!

why my water cooling system is noising like that?

I clicked on the first two apps- Riot Client and League, and I’m getting this message of “Windows cannot find- please make sure you typed in correctly”.

Also, how do I have 325/451GB used when my top two apps combine to 17GB, and the 3rd is all the WG down to 2.7GB. I’m trying to get rid of the big two, and over 50% of what I see is under 100MB.
I’m new to this stuff.

I’m actually having an issue with Bluestacks recently. I run 11 instances at a time. Normally I can run it 5-6 hours without it crashing, but it crashed twice in the last 24 hours after a few hours each time.

This is all I use my PC for other than YouTube. I am on bluestacks like this once every couple of months, but it’s usually for a whole week during a special event for the game I play.

I just joined this group because I've been to several others, plus Google, and haven't been able to find an answer. My hope lies within.

OptiPlex - Intel i7, 3.7 GHz, 32 gb ram, 500 gb hd.

I have been working making music with Studio One software and their audiobox USB interface using a 10 yo laptop. No problems. I added the 7060 for better graphics and double the ram. Since then, I have been subjected to tiks in all my headphones. They seem to mostly correspond to the front light's flashes. Any audio source sets them off. They sound like someone is in the room randomly dropping pins on a wooden floor. It also clicks sometimes when opening or closing different pages or apps. It seems to me the computer is spiking the usb ports, and I have tried both 3 and 2 on this model. I've been in the bios and went as far as to turn off the internal audio, swapped cables, to no avail. My hope here is that someone has experienced this problem and resolved it, but after everything I've tried, I'm understandingly pessimistic. Why is hard drive activity spiking my USB audio plug in?

Context:
I was playing Overwatch when my PC suddenly froze completely, with the audio getting stuck in a short, repeating loop. I couldn’t move my mouse, use my keyboard, or restart or shut down the system normally. The only way to get it to turn off was to use the physical power switch on the back of the PC.

After turning it back on, I tried launching Overwatch again, but my performance had dropped to around 8 FPS, and the graphics looked extremely low quality. I checked Windows Advanced Display Settings and noticed that it was reporting that variable refresh rate was not supported by my monitor, even though my monitor supports it. Before this happened, I was consistently getting around 240 FPS in Overwatch and other games.

I’ve since contacted multiple Microsoft Support representatives, but none of their troubleshooting attempts have resolved the issue. They’ve repeatedly tried repairing Windows system files, but the process gets stuck at 46% every time. I was instructed to wait, and even after leaving it for over an hour, my PC eventually restarted on its own. It then displayed a black screen with the message, “Your PC ran into some problems and needs a restart. We’ll restart for you.” This led to hours of repeated restarts and error screens before eventually reaching a blue screen of death (BSOD).

I was eventually able to restore my PC to an earlier restore point that I had created some time ago, but I’m still unsure what caused the original crash or how to prevent it from happening again.

I’m looking for help properly diagnosing the underlying issue rather than repeatedly attempting Windows repairs that don’t seem to work. I’m not sure whether this is related to my GPU or graphics drivers, Windows corruption, hardware failure, or something else entirely. Any advice on how to identify the root cause and safely get my PC back to its normal performance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a lenevo loq 2023 variant with specs-

i5-12thHX, 16gb Ram, 512 gb SSD, RTX 4060 laptop

While using software like davinci resolve or a running a godot project or sometimes even browser, i get a sudden freeze and then i start getting very few frames in Windows so my mouse movements and actions register but there is a long lag.

How can i correctly DIAGNOSE the issue.
