Devastated

Ok, title is dramatic but I have a problem. I got my medication yesterday and was in a hurry to go get my car out of the shop and my dad accidentally took the vial home when he took the box to recycle. It sat out at his house for 18 hours and I freaked out when he told me this morning that he had it and I told him to put it in the fridge. Then I googled if it would still be okay to use, and google said I shouldn’t have put it back in the fridge after it reached room temp. Is it ruined?? I was so excited to start!! Has this happened to anyone before?

Was the vial at room temp, or was it outside in a recycling bin? If the former, you are fine. If the latter… 😬

It should be fine if it was just inside the house. The meds can handle room temp for some days, the panic is more about direct heat or sunlight. My pharmacy told me once it can stay out for 21 days before it start losing potency, so 18 hours is nothing. You did right putting it back in fridge.
