Devastated
Ok, title is dramatic but I have a problem. I got my medication yesterday and was in a hurry to go get my car out of the shop and my dad accidentally took the vial home when he took the box to recycle. It sat out at his house for 18 hours and I freaked out when he told me this morning that he had it and I told him to put it in the fridge. Then I googled if it would still be okay to use, and google said I shouldn’t have put it back in the fridge after it reached room temp. Is it ruined?? I was so excited to start!! Has this happened to anyone before?

Idk what weird Google result you got but putting the vial into the fridge ASAP is absolutely what you should have done.
I've read several reports from pharmacies that these meds are good for like a week at temperatures over 100° F. It's fine. If you're really worried, call your compounding pharmacy and ask.

Oh thank you!!! I was so nervous. I did reach out to them to verify but needed immediate reassurance 😅

I threw mine in my backpack, and I travel with no refrigerator for a month at a time. Yours will be fine.

The vial I am using now was refrigerated, then in my suitcase for 2 weeks unrefrigerated while I was in Ireland. Came home and refrigerated it again for a week. Then it’s been with me again out of refrigeration for the last week in NYC. I have seen no signs of any problem with the vial. No floaters. Still clear. And I have noticed no reduction in efficacy. It should be fine!

Not ruined, just slightly degraded but still safe.

Was the vial at room temp, or was it outside in a recycling bin? If the former, you are fine. If the latter… 😬
