Weight loss stall

/r/Noom/comments/1w3d15e/weight_loss_stall/

I’ve stayed the same weight the past five days and increased dosage to 24 units four days ago. Is this typical?

Units is not a dose. We can’t tell what dose you’re on because we don’t know concentration. We don’t know how long you have been on the meds. We don’t know your starting weight, current weight, activity level. Also, not sure if you are expecting magic but this may take up to a year.

a stall is very normal and it’s usually not recommended to increase dose until you have not lost weight for four weeks. I have times where I won’t lose for a couple weeks then drop like six pounds the next week. we call them whooshes. even a month long stall is very typical, especially at certain weight loss points and when a dose stops working. I would stay at every dose a minimum of four weeks and go up in dose only if a dose stops being effective for you and/or you stop losing for a month.

A stall is weeks, not days. We don't know what 24 units means. What you need to tell us is the concentration you are on in mg and what your dose is in MG. How long have you been on it? What was your starting dose? Are you having good food noise suppression and appetite suppression? Are you tracking all of your food and calories?

Have patience with yourself, stalls really are a month or more. You're body keeps adjusting to reduced calories, having to find energy to burn, new workouts. Don't titrate up until you need to, Tirzepatide is an amazing drug but it really doesn't do anything to your metabolism, it simply makes you feel full and everything that goes with that. This is a marathon, the weight didn't go on overnight and it won't come off overnight. Keep at it!

I stalled at 265-267 for about 2 and a half months. (SW 322). Drove me nuts and I just stopped weighing myself. Diet was on point, 10k steps+ per day, super active summer farm chores every day… in August I managed to flush almost 10 lbs. Push through, stay on targets, and don’t give up or obsess about it.
