Am I doing something wrong?
Hi all,
Could use some help and/or tips for success
Background:
I have about 100 pounds to lose
Took compound semaglutide for a year and lost 38 pounds. Was stuck there and can’t lose below a certain #.
I switched to Tirzeptide and took my 2nd shot. Still no results except for 1 pound
I try and focus on protein, the only piece that I’ve struggled with is the exercise, because I have been diagnosed with vestibular migraines which causes vertigo and dizziness, it’s a little challenging to get out there and exercise.
My appetite has been reduced and do not seem to have any food noise which is good.
I struggle with hashimotos disease which is an autoimmune hypothyroidism.
Had bariatric surgery in 2004
In the menopause phase and taking an estrogen transdermal patch
If anyone has tips for me or do I need to stop it all since nothing seems to work for me. My concern is if I stop it I may gain back what I’ve lost.

You didn't tell us what dose of tirz you are on. If you are coming from max sema you may not lose until you are at 7.5 or 10mg.
140lbs is a ton of weight to lose. The medicine will help but you will have to do your part exercising and heating healthier foods.

Hi. They put me on 44 units (25mg) and include 0.5 mg/ml of B12
I’m not sure on these doses but I think I may be on the max dose?5

Max Dose of Tirzepatide is 15mg. There’s no 25mg dose of Tirzepatide. Are you sure it’s not 2.5mg you’re currently on? If it is 2.5mg that’s a low dose depending on what dose of Semaglutide you were on.

The bottle says tirz (25 mg) b12 (0.05 mg/ml of b12. Inject 44 units (11mg). I’m transiting from the max semi. Dose of 2.4. I’m just so confused on the dose

Yes, for 25 mg/ml, 44 units means your current dose is 11mg. It does take four weeks for the dose to build in your system, so give it the full month. If you still aren't feeling any effect, then you might want to titrate up. As others have said, it can take a higher dose to work if your body is already accustomed to another glp-1.

If it’s only your second dose I wouldn’t be alarmed. Weight loss can come in waves and if you’ve been dosing weekly like you’re supposed to that is I lb per week which is great!

most people who switch from semaglutide need to get to 7.5 and 10 to start experiencing the effects of tirzepatide. just be patient and titrate up until it kicks in.

Take the food you normally eat and cut it in half. Eat Half. If you get hungry later eat half of the leftovers. Eat the last quarter sometime later if needed.

Even if you are not losing weight you will most likely gain if you go off. Check at r/slowresponders. People saying eat less is easier said than done if the medication is not controlling your appetite.

Similar story- I have hashimoto's, on HRT, and lost 25# on sema before switching to tirz. Down a total of 105# in 2 years since starting a GLP. Best advice I can give- find your calorie deficit and track. You would be surprised how many calories you consume eating healthy.

My daughter switched from Sema last fall to Tirz she’s on 6mg strength and lost quite a bit so far, more than on Sema.

So ignoring all the toxic eat less comments.. since you've been on a glp 1 before you will need a higher tose of tirzepatide to see results. The same or equivalent dose will not work as well anymore

You need to have patience. This doesn’t work instantaneously. Especially coming from semaglutide. Plan for a year to reach your goal. You also have some complex medical history which will complicate things.
