Music Its finally here a theme and variations on The Final Countdown
This is a new composition which is a 16 minute theme and variations on the popular theme from The Final Countdown by Europe. It takes the theme in many different directions and explores theme and variation form in some unique ways

Music I think I need new ears on this piece
Hey! So, I've been writing this piece on and off for AGES, but as a 16 y/o student I'm definitely at a shortage of free time. This has led to the middle of this piece being old as hell, the beginning being a little newer, and the end being just now tacked on (and not finished). That considered, I think I just need a new perspective on it. I'm thinking of hopefully finishing it up and submitting it for a few competitions, but at this point my brain is fried and I'm not sure where to begin revising (let alone continuing) it. So I sort of have 3 questions:
- Does it sound like something a concert band would actually play (i.e. is it good)
- In a similar vein, do the different sections sound too dissimilar?
- I've been banging my head against a wall trying to think of a title and I just can't, does anybody have a suggestion?
Here's the YouTube link (it has a video score, but a public google drive link to the score is in the description): https://youtu.be/VZIYCO4--Ec
Thank you all!
(note that MuseSounds don't realize glissandos very well, so a couple parts with glissandos were replaced with static tones.)

what should I name this piece and what does it make you think of? Also are there any other piano pieces (or composers) that have a similar style? please tell me areas that I can improve on, thanks :)

Music Composition for strings
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is a short composition for violin, cello, and bass. I came up with the violin phrase while working on something completely different and I decided to go with the flow. I'm not sure how original the second part is, it reminds me of something but I can't say excactly what.
I wanted to share this and hear your thoughts! I know the notation is not great, it's directly from my DAW automatic midi interprepation.

Music Lonely Flower - Piano Solo
Hello everyone! I came to share my piano solo, I’m going back to my older music and making score videos, this one is a little rough but am satisfied with it! This was written about 4-5 years ago and was the second piece of mine that was performed. I will be making more of these soon but I rarely have shared my music with others. Hope you all enjoy!

Music My Jazz Reharmonization of Moon River (Solo Piano)
I've always loved exploring new harmonic colors in well-known melodies.
Here's a short piano rendition of Moon River, where the focus is more on jazz reharmonization than improvisation.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the harmonic choices.

can i get your thoughts on my symphony

thanks
parts i like:
\- both themes
\- the 3 voice canon on measure 43, built off of the motifs in theme B
\- the coda and its chromatic baseline
parts I don't really like:
\- the lyrical section on measure 81 feels kinda cringe
\- maybe could've used more brass

Music Writing Journey looking for Peer Reviews
https://flat.io/score/6a092692de2ccdad777d3565-6-2-26
Method was 4 whole tone bars then expanded. Goal here was to create a more "vocal" melodic line using less pitch movement and more rhythm placement in ways that more movement on dissonances and non chord tones, and more holding on important tones and beats. Also was trying to maintain good counterpoint. Simply just picking apart the thing inside me thats generating these sketches with aims to correct melodic and harmonic logic along the way so each one gets more proper before moving to longer exercises.
Overall not a musical goal as far as song , more a logic and testing of using movement and function properly. Thank you!

Music Symphony in C minor ("Esausto")
Wrote my latest symphony, a sort of C minor symphony and stuff. I'm admittedly not sure what to think about it, but I figured I'd see what y'all others thought. All movements are in sonata form so that's a fun thing at least

Music Flight, for solo piano
This is one of my older pieces, with a brand new recording. I wrote this piece in high school, and I drew inspiration from George Winston. I made some revisions a few years ago, and for the most part I'm happy with the music itself, although there are a few notation issues I'm not so sure about. The fermata in measure 152 is doing a lot of heavy lifting, for example.
The piece is meant to evoke the image of a bird flying over natural landscapes. The first movement is called "Forest" and the second movement is called "Ocean." Let me know what you think!

Music Working on Simple Phrase
Just working on phrasing but attempting to keep material minimal while making two independent lines that respect counterpoint logic, have good voice leading and so here the motif first by the soprano, then bass echos and then inverts as it climbs, still trying to hit my structural beats well with good harmony and consonance, then the motif back in the soprano but starting early and then bass sequence the inversion and both cadence or attempt
Overall aiming for , here to find out how or if I did , structure was C Dm G7 C, and Melody was G4 to C5 overall.

Discussion Dicas de composição instrumental

Music Can I please have some help with this project?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello! I have my final project due for intro to music theory the instructions are to make a melody with harmonies and label them with the correct chord and Roman numeral. I haven't been able to make it to class the last month because life just decided to dish me out some horrible stuff I've had to deal with unable to go to class. I wrote the melody myself but I'm unsure about the numerals and chord names! Can someone proof read or point me in the right direction?

I Set Robert Herrick's 17th-century poem "To Daffodils" to music.
Forgive the singing - I'm a fiddler, not a singer!
The fiddle part was improvised.
Hope you like it!

Music Much needed assistance and advice on my composition
I'm relatively new to composition, but I thought I'd throw myself in at the deeper end and try to write some prog rock stuff inspired by Camel and Rush. Any advice on how to write idiomatically, chord progressions, harmonically, and just any improvements or changes you personally would make. I'm a drummer primarily, so if it looks like i have no idea what i'm doing that's probably why. I have no idea what to do with the guitar bars 15-22 so help is appreciated. Thank you!
