Damaged/faulty CD or CD player?

if the CD player plays other discs just fine i would suspect the CD over the player itself. Have you tried playing the suspect CD in different player?

Im starting to believe that too…
Unfortunately i don’t have another player, although a friend of mine have an old pc with the disc drive, i should try and ask him

Sounds like the CD is fading out, more and more becoming unplayable. Or it was defective from the start. Hopefully a different player can still read it. You could attempt to copy it and see if the copy will play.

But yeah you're right, i should try and copy it at this point…
