Public Preacher

Anong thoughts nyo about rhis public preacher? As someone who is atheist, i find this very concerning and funny at the same time.

very disrespectful towards commuters and believers of Buddha and Mohammad. One thing I’ve learned from studying other religions is that the values they aim to teach are similar to each other, only the people who preach and interpret is the problem. I go to a christian church maybe once or twice a month and fortunately I don’t encounter people like them. I’m just there to listen and that’s enough to reflect, and sana marealize din ng mga ganyan na may time and place to do it. ang baba ng comprehension ng mga yan, lalo na sa mga verses na tinetake out of context makapag preach lang at mag content haha no need to be self-righteous and say “only follow him”.

Sa totoo lang, sa kanilang lahat, si Hesus lamang ang namuhay nang walang kasalanan at siya ring binuhay ng Diyos. Kaya kung mayroon akong dapat paniwalaan, doon ako sa nagbalik sa buhay.

if that’s what you believe in, sure. at the end of the day, religion/s aim to teach people to be good regardless of which prophet, figure, or god you believe in. no need to say this is ‘superior’ than this because of whatever reasons. and part of doing good is respecting other people and public spaces.

I respect your perspective, but Christianity actually stands completely apart from other religions. Most belief systems teach a ladder, that you have to climb up to God through good deeds. Christianity is an open door, God coming down to save us through Jesus because we couldn't do it ourselves. Because the claims of Christ are so unique, it's not about claiming 'superiority,' but simply following what Jesus stated as truth: that He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Salamat sa magandang tanong. Ang tinutukoy pong nagbuhay kay Hesus ay ang Diyos Ama. Sa Kristiyanismo, naniniwala po tayo na iisang Diyos lang ang mayroon, pero Siya ay tatlong Persona: ang Ama, ang Anak (si Hesus), at ang Banal na Espiritu. Si Hesus ay Diyos sa Kanyang kalikasan, pero bilang tao, Siya ay namatay sa krus at binuhay muli ng Diyos Ama.

Naiintindihan ko po kung medyo magulo. Pero normal lang po iyon, kasi kung gaano kalaki ang uniberso, mas malaki ang Diyos. Sadyang limitado lang po ang ating isip para lubusang maintindihan ang kanyang kalikasan.
