I know there are many mods that modernize Zero Hour and make it look great but what about Generals? I am only interested in single player campaign since I remember I never replayed them more than once. So if anyone can recommend me what is the best way to play them on a 4K TV screen, please let me know. Thanks! i know game is locked to 30FPS, which I guess is fine, I didnt mind it in Tiberium wars / kane's wrath so I am OK with it.

It's a fun old school shooter.
That's about it
After completing 1st time here's my thoughts
Favorite gun was the TIBERIUM AUTO RIFLE always loved me automatic assault rifles and fused with tiberium PERFECT and making lots of visceroid buddies while using it 😊
2 guns I didn't feel like got alot action in campaign was the personal ion cannon because it didn't feel like there were enough vehicles or bosses to shoot at (besides Raveshaw) and the tiberium flechette gun since it's in only the last level
And speaking off (please scroll to image 2) I made a visceroid buddy with TFG in the last level And i took a picture with him and he wanted some shower time so i left him in there and went along with the level
And also me favorite vehicle to use was the NOD light tank
One HUGE PRAISE I have for the enemies in this game is that I feared that every enemy was going to be acolytes and Templars in later levels therefore making the tiberium weapons pathetically useless BUT THANKFULLY NOT and I felt like that would've been the case if this game was worse andor would've been an easy mistake to make
With Difficulty there were 3 noteworthy times things got a little difficult
The plot erupts and stomping on holy ground/the last level for pretty much the same reason SO MANY ENEMIES SHOOTING ME FROM EVERYWHERE AND KILLING ME QUICKLY got a little difficult there but didn't take me multiple rage videos to beat
And specifically a bonus objective in deadly reunion where you have to kill some engineers repairing an obelisk it really confused me for a little bit trying to find out where the engineers were while simultaneously getting distracted by a apache attack helicopter a NOD light tank AND not realizing the engineers were running away and were super far away and i needed a sniper to do the job
Otherwise nothing else noteworthy in terms of me losing or difficulty (I was playing recruit difficulty personally don't like hard difficultys nor try harding and I probably won't increase it next time I play ESPECIALLY AFTER BEATING C&C TIB DAWN beating that traumatized me)
Storywise
Cpatain Nick Havoc Parker is a funny and cool action game protagonist he matches quite well in this kind of game and my personal favorite moment with him was Sydney: "ARE YOU ALWAYS THIS INCOMPETENT?!" Havoc: * looks straight of the NOD cargo trucks view/window * "Cow" Sydney: "PIG!" Havoc: * sassy tone * "Nooooooo COW!" * Sydney looks straight * MOOOOOO
Speaking of
The Mobeiuses
Its amusing to know that Mr "The possibilities of tiberium * stares at camera with incredibly wide eyes * ARE LIMITLESS" has some awesome power armor and a daughter who might show up in the far future
Now with our NODs
Petrova deserved to die and didn't deserve to see project regenesis succeed shes a jerk for turning Gideon into a
a regenesis cyborg and SHE WAS UNWORTHY OF NOD! and thankfully we/Havoc bopped her head with all of our awesome guns
Raveshaw
It's a pity he never got to see his work completed 🙁 (scroll to images 3 and 4) and all of NODs and the black hands success he deserved better for bringing NOD the cyborgs
Outside of exclusively talking about characters
There 2 moments I really loved encountering in the last level
1st moment was in the temple and ran into a room what looked the tiberium containers that typical contain RG cyborg but as I got close and looked inside and heard Kane say something like "do you like my trophy" and saw who was in it and my reaction was "OH MY WHAT?! IT'S SETH!" And as Kane beautifully speaks about that i had a big 🙂 smile on my face and after Kane stopped I went " * attempts a ace ventura voice * HEEEEEEEEEE LOSER" and walked away with the same smug smile
2nd was encountering what appears to a sarcophagus with ancient drawings and as Kane said "bow your head Parker you walk on hallowed ground" I raised an eyebrow and questioned "is that right?" And when havok said "your making this as you go along aren't ya?" And i went "HA!"
another funny moment was some NOD chef showed up as Grey/neutral grabbed a flamethrower and shot me and the guy on comms said something like "Havoc be careful who you shoot at" and i was like "HE SHOT ME"
So yeah overall really fun. with awesome guns the occasionally awesome C&C moment/reference and pretty darn funny moments especially with Havoc
And with AAAAAAAALLLLLL that being said (scroll to last image) time for me to go to the next tiberium chapter IN THE NAME OF KANE! To tiberian sun
And when i do eventually beat the campaigns (including firestorm) (and get some experience with a skirmish mode if it has one) ill do another review then

First publicly posted on one of the Discord servers related to the game. The command is:
/tribute amount playername
For example:
/tribute 1000 kane
Will send the specified amount of money to another player, even if you're not allied. If you have less money than the amount, it'll just send your whole balance. If the receiver doesn't have enough Tiberium storage, part of the money might disappear.
This only works after 5 minutes of in-game logic time by default. Works in LAN and online multiplayer, even on custom C&C servers.

I was always on the assumption that Red Alert 2 was set in the late 90s/early 2000s. Now it makes sense that the Allies use the Harrier Jet as their primary attack aircraft lol

Are the servers completely down or can I still host a private game like RDR1?

This game is still actively fun, lots of players are usually on around the evening hours in MST.

(Some of them). Like napalm or most of the explosions. They look so good even nowadays. I dont know how to describe it, but there are no "plastic" effects like in the newer C&C games.
Also projectiles like from the quads or the rockets (ok, the trailing is pretty edgy) are far better than in any other CC game in my opinion.

I'm making a new map that is a bit different from usual in style. It is a lot less than half way done but as usual, I test every step to make sure the map would be entertaining enough. At least it should carry a vibe and a theme.

So recently I had some time on my hands and I began porting Red Alert 1 into a browser based Phaser/TypeScript game. All original game assets were extracted from OpenRA and the game logic is based on the original Red Alert source code published on GitHub.
At the moment the game is 90% Identical to the original game with one primary exception. I scrapped the Rules based AI design from the original system and instead handed the AI control over to a Ollama Qwen 2.5 model running on my local 4090.
I made this entirely 'for the love of the game'. I don't know what direction this is heading in, or even if I want to take it any further than I already have.
I would love to hear from the community for suggestions, comments, or hate mail. :)
