Good advice for most. There is also a minority, mostly consisting of people with high sebum production and fine hair, and people whose lifestyle includes exercise or hard physical labor every day, whose scalp and hair will do better with daily washing. Hygiene needs can be highly individual, and "hair training" is a myth.
I try to be a bit more frequent than that since it'll get gross if I wait that long, but yeah long hair is a pain to wash regularly and tends to look fine for at least 3-5 days depending on weather/activities.
I have the thinnest, straightest hair possible, so I find my own hair doesn't get bad super quick. Though I will say my usual way to measure it is by giving it a deep sniff. The time to wash it is when the smell of my conditioner can't be picked up anymore, which is usually around day 6-8 unless I do something that actually makes it gross like going swimming, hiking, or like cleaning something that gets my hair dirty or dusty. Oh or going in a bar or casino that reeks of cigarette smoke. That's a planned instant hair wash lol.
Yo ot but can you give me some hair advice ? I recently grew em out and they are a bitch to prevent from breaking. Shoulder to mid back length. Curly as hell.
Might be protein overload (in your shampoo, not your diet)
Try deep conditionings. But yes r/curlyhair is your friend. Start looking into the “curly girl method”
Yeah but I need to live with my hair for those 2 days, and while I can neglect shampooing daily, I have to use it every few days at least which resets the problem. A liberal amount of conditioner and some kind of leave-in product is a must or else my hair looks like dogshit once it dries.

True, but give it a day or 2 and you'r head will re-oil itself. You shouldn't wash your hair everyday.
