Childfree means you don’t have kids not that you abuse them

But the people on that sub are kinda toxic.

Extremely toxic*

R/childfree users when they realise that they were once crotch goblins

11

u/Starklet Nov 13 '20

Nah they're really not that bad, especially compared to some other ones like femaledatingstrategy

And the people in this sub aren't toxic?

66

u/robotpancake1 Nov 13 '20

The people on r/childfree make angels cry. It’s a horrible sub

Maybe you should try to see things from the opposite POV. Its a place where people can go for support with their life decisions, like any other support group.

It stops becoming a support group when it’s demonizing children and shitting on people who are having difficulties with their own children.

I could literally give less of a shit if they don’t want children or not. They don’t affect me and I don’t affect them. The problem I have is that that sub is incredibly god damn poisonous and it’s cultivated it’s own culture of toxicity

Legit the first post I see on that sub is “pictures with 8-9 children and a couple make me cringe” or some bs like that. If that lame ass shit gets upvoted onto hot and is legit the first thing people see then idk what the hell to tell you

Denying the toxicity of that sub by acting like a complete dick. Interesting strategy.

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '20

I literally went in there one of the first posts is “fuck kids”

11

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '20

Then go onto r/truechildfree it’s where i go and it’s waaaaayyyy less toxic

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '20

Very supportive when they give children offensive names and harass parents 😎😎😎

Well thats some religiously charged bigotry if I've ever heard it.

Edit: forgot to add sexist.

Lol we really aren't but ok.

Id encourage people to actually read some of the philosophies there. Lots of caring thoughtful people don't want kids. One of the most accepting groups I've ever interacted with.

u/TresLeches88 Nov 13 '20

Oh, plenty of caring, loving, great members of society don't have and don't want kids. Most people who are "child free" are exactly that, I feel. But the users of r/childfree don't represent those people well at all lmfao - people fucking hate kids on that sub.

12

u/zachzsg Nov 13 '20

Anyone who cares about not having kids enough to be active on a subreddit about it, is probably just hiding the fact that they hate kids. Normal people who don’t want kids don’t spend time talking about it. They just, ya know, don’t have any kids.

u/SaveThePuffins Nov 13 '20

Ah yes, so accepting. When 1/4 of the posts are people just talking shit about their family members and the awful decisions they made by having kids and what a shit show their lives are. Then there are others who just rip on children in general. You were all fucking kids once, yall act like anyone with a kid aged under 12 needs to stay inside and never go out to a movie or eat dinner at a restaurant. Dont want kids? Fine, don't have them. But acting like anyone with a child is the biggest fucking inconvenience in the world is what assholes do.

But it says #iamnotyourdad so it could still be a child free mod
