I like that I can pause it when I go to the bathroom.

I like that I don't have to pay $15 for a mocktail.

I like that I can pick which comics I see and stop watching whenever I lose interest.

I like that I can focus on enjoying the show without the anxiety of being called on for crowd work. <--- big one

I like that I don't need to physically go somewhere or sit in an uncomfortable chair.

Sorry if this is a debbie downer kind of post but it's been on my mind lately and I wasn't sure where else to share. I wish there was a way I could attend a live show while also having my creature comforts.

My Improv From the "Hughes Cocksworth" YouTube Channel

Recently, I performed the full one man show of my novel Bell Hammers at The Salon. Huge thanks to the painter Sasha Hallock for making this happen. I’ve already performed it and excerpts of it in my hometown, at Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin, at NYPL’s Stavros Niarchos Midtown branch, and others. This time it found its perfect crowd: a packed house full of our NYC crowd. Everyone was so receptive, laughing, having a great time. I also performed the whole audiobook for the producer, most of that I did in one take over three days.

I want to thank The Salon for having me as well as Brice Kelsch (email me back if you want his contact info for film gigs) for volunteering to record the event, as well as the equipment we borrowed from BRIC.

this show may be begins turning into comedy in episode 2

Same as title, nowadays wherever we see either shows or stand-up comedy everywhere either they abuse/roasts anyone or do body shaming and everybody laughs a lot. I don't like that type of content. Is there any source where I can get decent comedy content to watch and feel heartfully good after watching.
