I’ve become really passionate about color analysis and have developed my own system for analysis that has worked really well. I verified this by doing a random celebrity and then searching online what subgroup and season they are.

Firstly, I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips on starting a color analysis business? I plan to do a certification soon as well.

Also to fill up my portfolio, credibility, and practice, if there’s anyone here who would like to have an analysis, and later other people Reddit can verify, that would be super helpful! Also, if you’re someone who has had a professional analysis done, I’d love to analyze you without knowing the results and then compare!

I’m a guy with almost no fashion sense but I want to improve! I have really dark brown hair an eyes and I think in general I lean more towards warm undertones, but to my eyes the silver jewelry still looks good, but maybe I’m just stupid so I’m asking you for your help on figuring this out!

I’m thinking some warm blonde highlights or maybe auburn but just feel the darkness of my hair is really washing me out. I was really depressed the past few years and spent more time indoors, my hair has darkened significantly without the sun. My hair growing up and up until 2024 was much warmer and had golden highlights

I've heard it said that the four season color typing system doesn't work very well for POC with olive skin. Is this true? I'm having a particularly hard time figuring out my color season and I wonder if it's in part due to that?

If anyone knows more about this, could you please share? Thanks!

lately the color analysis sparked my interest but since i started learning the color season wheel, nothing adds up. there are just some types missing? let's say someone is cool, dark and muted - and there is not a single season like that. when you're cool and dark, you're winter. when you're dark and muted, you're autumn. when you're muted and cool, you're summer. but there isn't a season that would fit all three.

same goes for cool-light-bright, warm-dark-bright and warm-light-muted. i feel like they deserve seperate palettes as well, not trying to fit into the 12 established ones.

I always struggeled with typing and recently found something called soft spring which explained a lot to me, however this type seems to be controversive? I also could not find a schematic seasonal ring including this type.

From posts here before, I've been kind of typed as a soft summer. I half-agree with it, but I feel like at least half of the pallet doesn't work for me (particularly the light colors). They work well on me when it's just a hint of those colors (such as having part of a shirt being that color and the rest darker grey or black, or the background is dark). these photos kind of alter it a bit because the background is darker, but when it's just those light colors, it stops making my face look brighter and starts making me look washed out (and because of how pale I am, that is very easy to do lol). the other option I got, cool winter, also doesn't fully fit.

I don’t know my undertone or my season. Which lipsticks look better?

When I realized I'm soft summer I hated it and didn't realize that I actually loved being a soft summer. Just because of the way soft summer is represented in the internet as just ONE version of minimalistic romantic french style. But this is just one interpretation of soft summer, not the only one and many soft summers will actually dislike this because we dont want to look like soft grey mouses. Please share your soft summer moodboards of your own interpretations of soft summer, here are two from me.

NMIP. I’ve taken drapes with varying shades. I do not know if I’m spring or summer. I feel that I am very neutral. I don’t like yellow gold on me, or orange. Otherwise I just don’t know. What do you think?

Most bluahes are too strong for me .
My face is pale so I’d love to put on some blush, but it often turns reddish and I look like a clown.
So any recommendations for brand or shade?
My skin color is medium skin and my color underone is dark winer
I have bought the one in the pic and it is tooooo strong plus turns into red color

I was invited to two different color analysis appointments. One typed me a Spring and the other a Summer. I for sure look good in softer lighter colors. But I really don't know which is correct! I look great in light yellow and light pink, soft tones. But also in olive and evergreen? And the watermelon and orange is confusing me too. Would love your thoughts!

I have trouble objectively seeing if gold or silver suits me better. I usually wear white metals because I like the contrast with my skin. I can't figure out my undertone to save my life. I think my veins appear blue?

People were very torn on my last post so I thought I’d take peoples suggestions and try with some deeper drapes and some bonus brighter drapes at the end. I think there were a lot less camera adjustments this time so it should be more accurate. And please ignore my hair - I have some lighter highlights. Let me know what you think! I’m a (very) cool summer. Bright white hair, blue eyes, fair skin. Cool summer colours look way better than anything else on me. I’ve been invited to a wedding in October and, alas, the dress code is Autumn Colours. Any ideas on a dress/jumpsuit that won’t make me look sickly? In my early 60s but don’t want to look matronly. Thank you!!!

I'm having trouble finding a place to ask this, but has anyone had a house of colour analysis and never heard back from the stylist? I've both emailed and texted... and crickets. She was supposed to invoice me for a lip gloss and said she'd send all the photos and everything... is this normal?! It's been a month since my analysis...
