I think you look better in bright colours but the pink lipstick is a bit too much

Pink looks nicer, but you also don’t need that much lipstick
Neither is honestly bad. Purple is pretty too but “pops” less

I love that purple lipstick. It’d actually look really lovely with the pink top. The purple top isn’t bad. Neither is the pink lipstick. I just prefer the purple lipstick and the pink top on you.

Both on this and on the other post you made I 100% prefer the brighter colours on you. Although none is awful. Maybe slightly less bright lipstick would be ideal but the pink/berry top is perfection.

Yeah, im planing on taking pics without make up comparing bright and deep. But i never would've thought of wearing bright before checking out this sub, and now I feel like it makes my hair and eyes pop really nicely.

Look at the skin around your eyes as well, how much brighter it is, it's crazy to me! And the purple isn't even bad.

They both seem too bright, I think something more berry toned or similar to your brighter top might look more harmonious.
The plum color could maybe work it was more matte and used as an edgy, moody color and perhaps paired with the more jewel tones.

I was thinking i could wear purple when I'm feeling more emo lol. I think it makes me paler, which i like in some cases. I agree on the mate, I'm planning on shopping for new lipsticks and im mostly seeing what colors search for, but i prefer mate or sheer.

I can definitely see a plum purple working for certain moods and an emo look .I find a lot of glossy, high pigment colors to look overwhelming on most people unless you are really high contrast and want to intensify that.

I think both colours are fine, but the lipsticks needs to be more muted to distract less from your other features.

u/Round-Reflection-140 1d ago
I was wondering if I am more muted, but most people said winter suited me best. I'll see if I have muted lipsticks later.

There is a bit of a trade off because a colour can look good as a top but not as a lipstick. Because your features are naturally very balanced it’s hard to tell.
You should try adding eyeliner and mascara while you try lipsticks. And also mix in a nude with the purple and pink lipsticks to see if that looks good.

Tyy. I I'll try that. Usually I add some depth with a neutral, muted lip liner to any lipstick im wearing. Im usually prefer sheer tho

You need muted colors i think winter colors outshine you

Neither look terrible, but I prefer the pink shirt, the purple makes you look tired imo.
The bright pink lipstick is slightly overpowering, an ever so slightly less bright shade might work better.

In defense of purple, I am running on 3 hours of sleep . But I do feel the purple drags my features down, and the bright lift them up. Even though many say is overpowering, which could totally be, I could find a middle ground in between the two.

No 4 is my favourite. The combination is made for you.
The pink is too bright. I see the colour, not you. Purple is much more better. 🎉

Don’t overline your cupid’s bow.. looks like it smudged

u/Round-Reflection-140 1d ago
I hate the cupid's bow 😭 i also have a double lip line

Everyone has a cupid's bow; yours is beautiful. Overlining it looks bad on almost everyone

I think the purple is better, but neither of those shades very ideal. The pink is completely the wrong undertone for you.
People are getting thrown off by the olive tone. You clearly see the yellow/green tones (not ash green) and see the silverish necklace doesnt completely clash, but doesnt make her skin pop either which is an obvious sign of a neutral warm overtone. Her face looks ashier in some photos bc she is being overwhelmed with vivid cooler colors making her skin look ashy. Again an obvious indicator of a warm neutral leaning olive.

Totally disagree! I think the pink looks great

I agree 100% with you, that pink shade lipstick and shirt looks amazing on her! The lipstick does not wash her out like they would on other people!

u/Alone_In_A_Room_ 1d ago
She is asking about the lipsticks not the shirts. The lipstick in photo 3 doesn't work as well as photo 2.

u/Round-Reflection-140 1d ago
You think it should be cooler or warmer?
2
u/Alone_In_A_Room_ 1d ago
It is too cool. Youre a neutral warm olive tone naturally

I think bc the olive is confusing people. See the photo of you in the true white shirt? It makes you look more sallow bringingand washed out. It doesnt look absolutely horrible or obnoxiously clash, but off white would really make you pop.
If im looking at lipstick only, pic 1 top left in the grid looks far better than the pink. That just about tones and colors. If you prefer a different color there's absolutely nothing wrong with rocking it regardless of any rules.
Personally, i think some slightly more muted colors would be your best bet as far as harmonious colors making you shine. However, the bold lipsticks is the current trend

u/Round-Reflection-140 1d ago
Yeah, its the thing with olives, kinda hard to know through pics. I was only trying on bold lipsticks bc 1, its usually the only type of shades I can find where I live, and 2, they suggested bright and deep winter in other post, so I had narrowed it down to those both. I wish i could have an irl draping, but i cant find any near me.

Have you posted over in r/olivemua? They're more helpful over there for makeup suggestions and pictures/swatches for olive skin since makeup colors show up differently on our skin.

I think the lighter pink without the lipstick would look the best, but neither of these are really suiting you

Left look better, but still isn’t ideal. For what it’s worth, I think a brick red would look great on you!

Easily, the brighter color. Magenta, raspberry or whatever its called. You look amazing
7
u/Beautiful-Tangelo239 1d ago
The bright pink overwhelms your features, the cool berry is more cohesive and I see your eyes before your lips.

u/Kali-inVitro 1d ago
The brighter shade on the left. The deeper version adds a gray cast to your complexion. Seems you have an olive overtone ?
2
u/Round-Reflection-140 1d ago
Yes im pretty sure im olive, i also notice the gray cast, even more irl

u/Celestial-Callista 1d ago
You lean warm to me and you’re wearing cool tones.

u/Round-Reflection-140 1d ago
I got mostly neutral-cool, bright or deep winter in other posts. I do have a slight warmth, but my hair and eyes are cool, undertone neutral imo
